It is a given that no one ever wants to have to find a funeral home to use, but these people have made a terrible situation as easy & smooth going as possible. They have gone above & beyond in taking care of us & we couldn't be more thankful.

Would like to share the amazing experience my family recently experienced with this business establishment. My 76-year old brother-in-law had been sick for some time; thus, had lost a lot of weight at the time of his demise and we were all concerned about how the funeral home was going to do in preparation for the visitation and viewing. To say the least, all of my family (especially my sister) was elated to see our loved one looked really natural, comfortable and peaceful. We could not have asked for a better preparation of his body! And naturally, this put all of our minds at ease and made this sad time much more bearable! Amazing work!nnAll in all, our experience with McWhorter Funeral Home was outstanding—from start to finish. John and Amy (owners) were so professional, understanding, consoling and easy to work with during this time. In setting up the arrangements, John explained all of our options and gave us time to ponder the choices. His years of being in the business really showed us he knew what he was talking about and that he could produce the desired outcome for our needs.nnDuring visitation, John, Amy and Quinten (apprentice) were all very accommodating to our family and friends. Their funeral home is relatively new and oh so beautiful—quite stately and yet so comfortable. For some this may not be a deciding factor, but the y do have a large parking lot with a covered area at the front door.nnOn the day of the service, John was there directing all of us through the procession. He was really kind, considerate and professional. Amy was there to assist with the floral arrangements and any other incidentals. Quinten was there helping with the casket and pallbearers. These 3 individuals acted like a well-oiled machine in that the church service and internment flowed effortlessly.nnAgain, I can’t thank John, Amy and Quinten enough for the wonderful treatment my family and I received at McWhorter Funeral Home!

We were so taken care of. They were warm and so kind to our family. You would have thought they were a part of the family that day as they walked alongside us in our grief. Highly recommend.
