I feel I can always trust the doctors at Eastlake Veterinary hospital. It starts from how they engage with my cat and help him stress less, basically loving on him and reassuring him. But it's also their level of care and expertise. They are experienced and skilled while having no hesitation referring me to specialist when it's out of their field of expertise. I've come to rely on the Eastlake team and trust the paths they offer for my aging cat.

It's not been easy to find a good vet in Seattle. This was our 3rd vet hospital and finally a jackpot! We have been taking our dog for over 4 years now and can not be happier. The staff from veterinarians, vet technicians to the ladies at the reception desk is exceptional. They are knowledgeable and always will make time and are willing to accommodate. They love animals and are truly invested in every furry customer. They know them by names and always check in (call you) if they get notified that the pet went for emergency to say Blue Pearl overnight. I am very happy we found them. They perform procedures well (without surprise charges as some other vets did) and always offer you multiple options upfront without pushing you; always willing to provide estimates and extra details if you ask and never get annoyed when I ask questions. It gives me peace of mind that my dog has such an amazing team to take care of him. Highly recommend.

Eastlake Veterinary Hospital has taken phenomenal care of our lab for 4 years now. The staff is friendly and professional and the docs are amazing. Dr. Shearer always takes great care of our dog (and us humans). I wouldn’t take a pet anywhere else!

We appreciate Eastlake Vet Hospital so much for several reasons. First off, they always answer the phone! I have always gotten a friendly person to pick up - this is a big plus in my book. Then this friendly person determines how urgent the issue is, and finds a way to schedule us into an appointment if it is urgent. Once we arrive (before CovID) we are greeted and never seem to have to wait past our appointment time. With CovID, they have a wonderful system of coming out to their parking lot to your car to get your pet, obtain all the information they need, and take your pet in for the appointment. Then you get a call from the doctor who shares his/her findings and allows you to ask a ton of questions. You pay for the visit and any medications you might need over the phone and your pet is brought back to your car. Oftentimes I get a follow-up call the next day from the doctor. Thank you all at Eastlake Vet!!

On our run today our dog had a seizure. She started foaming and salivating profusely, collapsed to her side, started convulsing, contorting her mouth, then her eyes glazed over, and stopped breathing for 30-45 seconds. We were beyond frightened and thought we were losing our girl. It caused such a scene a bystander called 911 and a different stranger ran to get their car for us. Once the episode ended and we were able to get her home, we called our usual vet, Eastlake Vet Hospital. We explained the ordeal to Tracy and told her our girl was still not acting liker herself (laying down and whimpering).nnWe were not impressed with our interaction. I understand everything is more difficult with Covid-19 (I work at a hospital), however, it is not helpful to tell returning clients who are emotional, confused, terrified, and just trying to seek prompt and familiar care that you’re already over-capacity. As directed, we called the Emergency/24-hr vet hospital. Our call was placed on hold and the wait to get in was long.nnWe called Eastlake back. We wanted to know the earliest we could have a follow up exam and some lab work to try and figure out why our seemingly healthy girl was seizing. We were told we couldn't get in for two weeks! Are you kidding me?! You’re telling me you don’t keep a couple appointments per week open or at least flexible for situations like this? In the meantime, we were offered no clinical support or advice.nnThis obviously didn’t seem right so we called a different vet clinic immediately. Their receptionist said she was going to explain the situation to their vet. She called back within an hour; they were compassionate and agreed it was imperative to get her in sooner than later. They were able to fit us in within a couple of days (even though we are new clients to them). *Edit: Even better, a different vet is able to see her one day after her episode.nnNeedless to say, we will not be returning to Eastlake Vet Hospital for any care. This vet hospital may be fine for routine checkups, however, if you ever find your fur-baby in need of timely care after a serious incident, DO NOT rely on Eastlake Vet Hospital!
