The 1 star it is for the horrible human being vet technician that works at this location. He was extremely rude, judgmental, impatient, not nice at all. I was very close to tell him to F&@f but my baby was was sick and needing some help.nI am still confused and mad with the situation. The dr and the lady that answered the phone were extremely nice. I give it 5 stars for both of them.nHe is a horrible employee and because of him I will find it another hospital next time i need it. I felt that he didn’t want him there and even said that all those vets out there are sending too many animals to the hospitals. Is that bad BluePearl? Don’t you want money? More animals more money. Maybe you guys should do some customer service training for some of your employees:

I took my dog here on Sunday night to get emergency x-rays to see if she has ingested something she shouldn’t have. They promised to call me first thing Monday morning since their radiologist was not in. Monday I got no call with results or even to update me with a new time. I called today (Tuesday) and they said I might be able to expect results by the end of today, or maybe tomorrow. Don’t call yourself an emergency vet if you cannot provide service on an emergency timeline. It is unacceptable to make a pet suffer waiting two days for results. Not to mention scam pet owners by charging extra for emergency services and not give answers when a pets life is on the line

I would recommend this clinic to any pet owner in need of immediate care. Competent, kind, professional, fast, and provides off street parking at no cost.nnMy cat fell ill and needed to be seen as soon as possible. I contacted a few other emergency clinics and was told the wait time was around 4-5 hours, but this location told us to come right away and had our cat checked in within minutes of arrival. Because of COVID-19 precautions, we weren't able to physically bring him in and were met at the door by a staff member.nnEveryone we interacted with was professional and compassionate, the vet called with a preliminary diagnosis shortly after and provided updates a few hours after check-in and again in the morning.nnIn the end, they weren't able to save him (signs pointed to a brain issue, likely a stroke) but I truly believe they did everything within their means for our sweet kitty. They let us come down to be with him while he was put to sleep - because we're in the middle of a pandemic, I was really thankful they took the risk to let us say goodbye. The vet tech and vet were both very sweet when we got there and it was very clear they care deeply for the animals they treat.nnAs for the cost, it should go without saying that it's going to be more expensive than a regular vet visit. All emergency services are going to cost more, and veterinary care is no different. All said and done, it felt pretty comparable to what I was expecting. They provided an itemized quote for care with a low end estimate and a high end estimate and required a deposit that covered the lower of the two. The vet I spoke with gave me a very realistic view of the cost/benefit for each procedure.

I have never been more horrified by any experience like the experience I have had at Blue Pearl. The two times I’ve used them (one in Brooklyn and one by this location) I have been treated like dirt. They have been horribly rude and horribly unprofessional. For people that deal in animal emergencies, you’d think they would focus on customer service. Not them. They should be shut down as a practice. Do not go here.

I came here this past weekend on the recommendation/referral from my vet office. They provided phenomenal, life-saving care for my dog. I couldn't be happier with an ER vet. Even the pricing was reasonable, and I had the estimate up front so I wasn't scrambling after care to try and get the money together.nnIf you have a sick dog that needs care please come here. They cannot find better hands elsewhere.
