This is a very nice station! Lots of benches for waiting on the train, both inside and outside. There are clean bathrooms and a drinking fountain close to the train platform. The lobby area has a lot of neat things in it! There's a model display of trains. There's also the front of two trains, which is neat! This is a great place to bring kids to watch the train come into the station! The agents that I've seen are all very friendly and they've even given my children paper trains when we came in to the station just to look at the model trains!
To be so fortunate to have a train station, we have a beautiful one. This is part of the history a Burlington as the railroad was our founding. Also included inside are some beautiful photography of Burlington's past. This is worth just to stop for historical value.
I love this station. Riding Amtrak to me is really fun and so much better than the cattle farm called the airport. If you get a chance come check this place out.
Very nice small station with history,A nice train ride from Raleigh.only an hour layover going back to Raleigh.
