I frantically looked up a nearby 24-hour vet last night when my cat started having issues suddenly. When I called, I was quickly connected with their staff, who was calm, kind, and so authentically invested in making sure my cat was okay...and I should mention this was at 3am, so I am *extra* grateful for their dedication and effort.nnThis year has been so brutal for everyone, and I know for me, it's really punctuated these moments of empathy and kindness. Thank you for finding space in your busy schedules last night to ensure that my cat/BFF would be okay!

Initially when I called, the woman I spoke with was very kind and helpful. Once I arrived, almost everything went poorly. I understand times are super difficult in a pandemic and there are often times another pet(s) come in needing urgent help before mine, but the experience was truly awful. After dropping my cat off at the door, the communication was TERRIBLE. They said 1-2 hours until I would hear from them. I stayed in the area... waiting 3 hours patiently. Then I called. I was put on hold countless times, and each time, I’d either get transferred to a different staff member, needing to explain my call each time, or they would (unintentionally?) hang up on me. After 5 hours, I finally heard from the Vet. She was VERY helpful and knowledgeable. But by this time, they said they were having a difficult time working with my cat because he was so upset/angry. (Duh! He’s been in there for hours.) They decided to fully sedate him, but then two of his toenails were ripped out from the towel they wrapped him in. Turns out, his bladder was empty and they couldn’t even get done what I brought him there for in the first place. All the mess and trouble for nothing! Two days later, no returned phone call from them, and I still don’t know what’s wrong with my cat who is at home still trying to recover. The vet was apologetic and kind, and she even discounted some of my bill, but it was still a very frustrating experience. The communication was truly the worst part.

I spent hours reading reviews of veterinarians and emergency vet clinics and calling many but was unable to get a timely appointment. I was hesitant to call Blue Pearl because I had a bad experience with them several years ago in Tampa. In the end, I’m so glad I did and was very pleased with the whole experience.nnWe recently moved to Seattle and did not have a regular veterinarian when our dog, Bessie, became increasingly lethargic and her eye began to swell and become very red. Fromnthe moment I called Blue Pearl on Aurora until Bessie was discharged, everyone was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They clearly explained policies, check in, and wait times and recommended that we wait at home as no one allowed in clinic due to COVID.nThe vet called after examination and after procedure. She carefully explained all options and costs and patiently answered questions.nnIt was expensive which we expected. Although the estimate for the examination, etc was spot on, our dog did need several medications to continue at home. The clinic fills them there, which is convenient, but I wish I would’ve thought to ask for a “generic” brand particularly for the long-term antibiotic which was very expensive and had not been listed in the cost estimate. Be sure to ask cost of Rx as well.nnBest of all, Bessie started feeling and looking better within 48 hours.nIt’s never easy when our pets need emergency care. I hope your experience will be as positive as ours.

I cannot thank this place enough! My kitten had developed bad diarrhea for a few days and then gradually stopped eating . I was so worried ! Thank goodness this place is open 24/7, as I was able to bring my girl in early on a Sunday morning for evaluation and treatment . Everyone treated me and my kitty with kindness and compassion. Because of COVID, I dropped my kitten off, and was told I could go wait at home . They called and updated me every step of the way and answered all my questions . I will would recommend this place to any of my friends with furry companions !

Experience at the place was fine. Dog was misdiagnosed, and died soon after, but that happens. Billing hassles afterward have been horrible. Supposedly emailed us a bill, but we did not see it. Next communication was from a collection agency. We called Blue Pearl, thought we got it sorted out, paid the bill. Now, 9 months later, we received another collections notice for the same (already paid) invoice.nnI run a clinic. This is not how you treat your patients (customers). The lack of communication has been unacceptable.
