Banfield Pet Hospital

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET OR ANY OF THE OTHER BANFIELD HOSPITALSnnI am a new puppy owner, and over the course of the year subscription wellness plan (50 a month, doesnt cover nearly what it should), there were 2 cases over the year where my dog was very sick. Once he wouldnt eat or drink and was extremely lethargic, and another time had stepped on glass and cut his foot pretty bad. Both instances when i called, i was told the soonest they could see me was 3 days in the future. I called brookhaven animal hospital and they were able to see me within 15 minutes each time.nnThe receptionists are rude, and would not let me pick up my dogs heart guard since after i purchased two in a single month due to traveling, and my pup needed a heart worm test.

Very very nice staffs always willing to help you not that they go out their way it's like this is what they do they want to help and Owners are always welcome with their pets. They just always make you feel welcome

I dropped off my 5 year old morkie Saturday 11/28/20 morning for the first time at this location for a routine dental cleaning and vaccinations.nnThey shaved her rear and she is bleeding. I repeat: She is bleeding.nnWe also noticed that she also has difficulty breathingnand she smells like womens perfume.nnUPDATE: After taking off her bandage (they told me the bandage was from the catheter (? she never had a bandage after her previous cleanings at other banfields) My sister in law and I were SHOCKED to see blood. After cleaning the blood, we found the source to be from a clipper blade where they cut her skin.nnShe is acting strangely and is shaking.

Dr. Bellinger, Dr. Morgan, and Dr. Johnstone are great! Rex at the front is very helpful as well, but some of the staff members aren’t as friendly. I have frequent scheduling errors with them, half of the time the front desk is empty when I arrive. I just got off the phone with someone name Drew because I got a confirmation call yesterday that my appointment is with Dr. Morgan, and when I called them today my pet is now scheduled with Dr. Johnstone (which I didn’t have a problem with). However, when I told her that I frequently encounter scheduling discrepancies at this location, she rudely interrupted me and in the middle of me still speaking, SHE HUNG UP ON ME.nI hate to leave Dr. Bellinger, and I would give the vets 5 starts if I could do that separately, but I’m going to be seeking a different Banfield location. They must train their staff to be better with customer service.

Really deserve one star but, I’m giving 3 because of the amazing service from Dr. Morgan & Liah at the front desk are absolutely wonderful. The rest of the staff however, are always so unpleasant to work with. I brought my dog in for evaluation and instead of advising me on what test should be don’t for my dog, they gave me a laundry list of tests and prices and asked ME to choose what tests they preform on my dog. Do I look like a vet to you? If I knew what tests to run on my dog I wouldn’t be consulting with whom I thought were professionals. After my dog was taken care of by Dr. Morgan, I took him in the following day for a check-up. The vet (a gentleman, can’t remember his name) asked me questions about a my dogs condition as if he hadn’t even read his chart or his history. They didn’t even know my dog was on heartworm meds even though THEY approved the prescription. Banfield doesn’t feel like a veterinary hospital. It feels more so like a retail store trying to up sell you and get as much money out of you as possible.
