My family lived in Colorado for three years and we were so thankful to have Dr. Wendel as our vet during our time there. He always answered his phone or called back in a timely manner and took great care of our two old mares! In my opinion, one of the best vets in the area.
You will not find a better Vet anywhere!
I am from out of state and was looking to purchase a horse in Colorado. After the initial veterinarian backed out at the last minute, I was left scrambling to find a veterinarian to complete the pre-purchase, as I had already scheduled a hauler, completed dna testing, and gotten a brand inspection on the horse. I happened upon Dr. Wendel and couldn't have been happier with the results. After I explained my predicament to him, Dr. Wendel didn't hesitate to help out. He was incredibly thorough in his explanation of his findings and provided me with an honest opinion of the horse. Thanks to Dr. Wendel, the sale was a success and my new boy should be headed to my home very soon! I would recommend Dr. Wendel to anyone and everyone looking for an honest and dedicated veterinarian.
Lucky Dr Wendel and I crossed paths when another well known vet was at a loss for treating an injury without an expensive bone scan. I contacted Tom for a second opinion. He was able to treat the injury and work out an exercise plan to get the horse back to where she was pre-injury.nnThrough out the years Tom has helped me with countless horses. I wouldn't trust anyone else in the state. I've even gone so far as to drop horse insurance as I know Tom will get to the root of the problem without gimmicks and overpriced diagnostic equipment.
Dr Wendel is the best. Excellent care for the past 12 years for our horses!
