EDIT: this review resulted in them cancelling my dogs surgery and dropping us as clients. Wish they had said something a week ago so I could have rescheduled his surgery sooner.nnI am consistently kept waiting 30-45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before I am seen. They were “unable” to tell me how much it would be to neuter my dog or extract a tooth until AFTER they had me schedule the surgery. They “weighed him wrong” before the neuter, which resulted in them having to use more anesthesia and increased the price that they quoted me. When asking for some kind of ballpark price for the services they provide, the vet was extremely unhelpful.nnOverall, no issues with the quality of the care, but the shady pricing and lack of concern for keeping their customers waiting makes me want to find a new vet.nnEdit: scheduling surgeries before being told even a price estimate is wild and predatory. And if you are so consistently running behind, schedule fewer appointments.nnRESPONSE: It is predatory because by scheduling the appointment before pricing, clients are less likely to back out or be able to find cheaper alternatives. I still don’t know if my dog’s surgery is going to cost me 500 or 2,000 dollars, but I was told if I waited to get the estimate before I scheduled it then I might have to schedule another checkup appointment before the surgery which would be another expense. So, you are pushing people to sign up for surgeries that they have no way of knowing what the cost will be, and when they try to get an idea, even to the limit of wether it will be hundreds or thousands, the vet looks at you condescendingly and tells you that she is a DOCTOR and doesn’t worry about prices.nnSo what to do? Finally get the bill and then shop around for competitive pricing, further putting off your pets surgery? No, of course you’re going to go through with it, for the good of your pet, even if it wasn’t the best option available to you. Because by this point, you would be taking a giant step back in the process if you declined.nnTHAT is predatory.
