We have had nothing but great results here. They are thorough, find issues that are important that some vets miss. They are nice when they greet you. Love them !!!
Our experiences have been very good. The wait is rather long because there are no appointments but instead are first come first served. However we are now having to have a second acl surgery on our shepherd mix ( not the same leg) and would highly recommend them for this surgery. They are very good at what they do. Great doctors and nurses. Just expect a long wait and clear your schedule or get there at 8 a.m. when registration starts. They open and the first appointment seen is at 9.
Services are very affordable. BUT staffs attitude is just terrible. Like they’re just mad at the world. Makes me wonder how they treat pets behind closed doors. Also every time I come pick up medicine it’s a lack of miscommunication with them. Was called at 9:10 am telling me my dogs meds were ready come at noon to find out they are not! Not a big deal if you want to spend all day here.
Overall I've consistently had good experiences and outcomes with Fox Lake Animal Hospital. One of the challenges I consistently encountered was an extended wait when trying to get in for routine procedures. Besides having to wait out the queue of people who arrived before me, they'll also handle more critical patients first (understandably!). I make sure to arrive before they open and take half a day off of work, just in case. Prices are lower than others in the area, so I consider the trade-off worthwhile.
Expert and caring staff. I feel like my pet is well cared for after a visit. They take the time to answer questions and make you feel at ease.
