It’s a long story. We got a foster to adopt, named Quinn in March of 2020. Due to the pandemic and the fact we live in a different state, we called to see about adopting Quinn because we instantly fell in love. Wright way did not answer, nor called back (after over 20 to at least 5 different people) until JULY of 2020. When they called back, they did not voluntarily call back, they posted on Facebook about Quinn’s story and basically said she was still up for adoption and no one wanted her. WE WANTED HER and we called several times to say we did. We left a comment saying “we’ve called several times, asking about adopting Quinn and you haven’t responded. You also didn’t include that she had heart worm and needed to undergo intensive treatment that we are paying for.” When they saw that they got mad. They immediately deleted the post, and called. Their response was, “we don’t think your a good fit for Quinn because you are not setting a good example for the company.” After a while and talking to several people, adoption papers were sent over and we ended up paying full price for Quinn and paying for all of her heart worm treatment. In my opinion on of them should have been payed for because 1. They didn’t tell us about Quinn having heart worm 2. They didn’t call for months. I don’t recommend adopting from this shelter. It was very stressful. The only good thing that came out of this was we got our amazing dog who is fully recovered now. Do better Wright way

This place is an amazing rescue! They work so hard to help all the animals they can! I foster for them and I have even adopted 2!

The adoption process here needs major changes there are questions on the adoption application that have no need to be there. The animals shouldn't be allowed to be reserved I've found animals that have just been put on the site that are somehow already reserved and seen reserved puppies that I was interested in adopting and would've done so immediately that have stayed reserved for 3 weeks to a month and still haven't been adopted. And have emailed several weeks ago with no response. But The biggest issue is definitely the reservation process because the point is to find the animals good homes and in my opinion someone who comes to adopt the animal immediately is more likely to care for it than someone who reserves it and let's it set in the shelter when there are others who would love to take it home
