From the first phone call to the end of my sons memorial service I felt as they were part of family. I was allowed to talk about my son at length to the director during our first meeting. Ron was so compassionate and gave all answers to all of my many questions. They weren't rigid in any certain order at the service and things flowed so smoothly. We are all appointed a time to die. I highly and whole heartedly recommend Benson Funeral and cremation services in Mt holly. They offer a full range of services at a fair price. Since a funeral can be costly Benson is a quality professional service. I didnt feel at all like they were ever trying to sell me anything to make a dollar. Nothing at all about my experience felt like a business transaction. Which I cant say about a few other funeral homes I called in Gaston county. My sons death was not expected even though he was sick. It all just happened so fast. Ron and his colleagues at Benson made this very sad and difficult time in my life much less difficult as they could under circumstances. Mr. Benson helped me navigate a difficult process with the death of my brother. His concern and patience for the family as we worked through the planning was more than I ever imagined or could have hoped for. Just saying “Thank you” seems inadequate!

What an amazing service and staff. We lost our stepmother and held her memorial service at Benson. During every step of the process, the staff provided excellent customer support with kindness and grace.nnThe facilities are clean, bright, and comfortable. When we listed the obituary, the website was easy to use and provided different tabs for the service details, a tribute wall where friends could write messages, and an easy way to order flowers. The staff supported us in every detail of the memorial. There were several moments that we didn't make it easy for them - we had to alter the obituary several times, we decided to select our own songs after telling them we would leave it to their selection, and we even worked on the memorial video until the very last second before the service itself. Throughout it all, Ron and Amy made every change and waited on every alteration with kind words and reassurances.nnPastor Eric, associated with Benson, delivered a terrific and dynamic service. He sat down with us and inquired about our stepmother's personality. He respected that she was spiritual and non-denominational, and his speech conveyed hope and motivation while still giving us a chance to mourn.nnOf course, anyone searching for this type of review is already going through difficult circumstances. No one can make those circumstances better, but Benson certainly made it easier to endure and get through. I would highly recommend them to anyone selecting a place to say their last goodbyes.

They went above and beyond for my mother's memorial service. They were so kind and caring. Ron and Benny and Amy were jist amazing at the hardest time in our lives.
