We were very nervous brining in our precious priceless pet! doctor beckman and nurse annie were able to put our fears to the side during our consultation prior to much needed procedures. our lab is 8 years old and handled it better than we did. it was a blessing to work with their staff! we give them top marks and highly recommend them to other pet owners. they really care for your pet. it was a first class experience and they are real experts, so now i understand why our regular vet suggested we go this path. it was worth the money! how often can you say that!

Excellent experience. Annie and Dr. Beckman are great! Extremely nice and great communications. Everything was so professional.nnI wanted the best for my new adopted dog daughter. I thought she might have a toothache.nnI learned that Dr. Beckman is the only Vet Dentist and Vet Oral Surgeon in Georgia. I hadn't known that there was a specialty in Vet Dentistry or Oral Surgery before this.nnAnnie is also extremely qualified and experienced specifically in this field. Annie explained everything very thoroughly and patiently prior to the visit. The cost was explained clearly.nnDr. Beckman met with me on arrival to discuss my girl's needs. He was very friendly, very nice, and patient. They did a teeth cleaning, full mouth xrays, and exam, which they had previously explained required sedation and intubation. I am grateful they found no problems at all. But I knew if they did, she was in great hands.nnDr. Beckman explained that they don't just extract teeth if there is a problem, as many vets do. He said most of the time they are able to save the teeth. They do root canals and crowns, and so much more. I didn't know this existed for a dog.nnI feel very comfortable with my regular vet, they are great, but in learning that this specialty exists I wanted Dr. Beckman. I go to a dentist, or a specialist when I have a medical problem. I wanted the best for my girl too.nnI've been contacted several times by Annie after the cleaning to make sure all is ok, which it is. I was emailed a full detailed report. The communications and professionalism has been fantastic.nnI highly recommend them.

I was referred to Atlanta Veterinary Dentistry by my Vet because my 2.5 yo Cocker Spaniel was diagnosed with an Acanthomatous epulis which is an aggressive benign tumor that grows in the gum and invades the jaw bone. After examination and CT scans, Dr. Beckman explained in detail the required procedure to remove the tumor and affected teeth to ensure the tumor would not grow back. Annie explained the cost upfront so there were no surprises. The surgery was invasive and entailed removing Cooper’s jaw bone, one canine and 5 incisors. During the surgery, Annie called me twice to keep me informed of how things were going. When I picked up Cooper, she explained what had been done, his meds and let me know I could call her directly at any time with questions and concerns. She called to check on Cooper a few days after the surgerynnTogether Dr. Beckman and Annie make a great team. Aside from their professionalism, they showed compassion and empathy in my situation, helping ease my anxiety. I would highly recommend AVD if you are facing any issue related to your pet’s dental surgical needs.

When I discovered my girl, Lana, had a fractured tooth, I panicked and called vets around. I talked to Annie, who explained everything thoroughly and communicated with me multiple times prior to our visit. She was also patient with me being indecisive on what to do with Lana. We are so glad we had Lana taken care of by Annie and Dr. Beckman. Super professional and communicative and we got Lana’s teeth taken care of with no complications or issues. Annie was also very prompt in helping us get the necessary documents for our pet insurance claim. Thank you again for taking care of Lana!!

I recently took my cat Schroeder in for treatment of a resurgence of stomatitis that had been dormant for several years. He received excellent, thoughtful care. Both Dr. Beckman and Annie have been personable, responsive, and helpful throughout the process, which I have really appreciated!
