Old Capitol Pet Care

I am mostly using the grooming salon and have not moved my Standard Poodles vet records to Old Capital yet. That is seriously on the agenda though as I am quite happy with what I have experienced so far and since purchasing my home their location is more convenient.

We take our fur babies to see Dr. Smith. They are always nice to us, even when very busy. The wait is usually not too long. Several times, we had to take in Rusty with his stomach issues or his IBS, they get him back on track with care, concern, meds. We love this vet!

Dr. Smith is a great Vet. She saved my little girl

We’ve been using Old capital pet care since we moved to Milledgeville two years ago. The vet and her staff are wonderful people. They’ve taken care of my pets through some very major injuries and day-to-day management of health. There are groomers co-located with Old capitol Pet Care and they are also a wonderful bunch. Natalie and her staff keep my Boykins looking good and next week they’re going to meet my new baby Bassett. I highly recommend this Business because they’re kind, caring, and priced at the right level for services provided.

I am disgusted with this vet and people should know to avoid them! Talk about making you jump through hoops to get a simple flea and tick medication approved! They refused to approve a simple order from Chewy.com for a flea and tick mediction without bringing the dog back in to be weighed. They refused to take my word for the weight of the dog, which is incredibly insulting especially since I work in rescue - and required that we travel the hour there and hour back just so they could weigh the dog! I have never heard of such a thing and I work in rescue! This was after I spent hundreds of dollars just a few weeks prior. The quality of their care is sub par to say the least and their receptionist has a major attitude problem. Avoid this vet unless you want to be treated like an imbecil that doesn't know how to accurately weigh a dog!
