The Bryant family has been an important support, for our family, this year. Having lost both parents, in this most challenging time, has been difficult, to say the least. There is no better feeling than to go through this process with people you have known in the community, for years. My sister Lynn and I had discussed in the past week what arrangements we wanted for our brother Jim Andrews. She being in Gorham went to Bryant’s to finalize the plans. She was immediately talked out of what we wanted.nWe did not want a public viewing. It was suppose to be on Wednesday morning for family and a select few friends.nThen the funeral that afternoon.nEd informed her she needed to do otherwise due to the influx of calls regarding the arrangements. With public posts on social media, she was guilted to change our plans.nDuring this time with Ed, my travel situation was not given a second thought. When I was informed of all the changes Ed wanted to do I called Ed within the hour, to explain my situation. He told me basically it’s too late to change anything. This is not good customer service. My brother and mom and dad would be highly upset knowing that it was no big deal I wouldn’t be able to attend.nFuneral homes are a business. Period. It’s about pomp and circumstance and money.nSo while my brother is being rememberd I’m forced to stay in NC. I was not given the travel time I needed to attend.nThanks for all your help.
