My mother in law was laid to rest this past Wednesday. We couldn't have asked for a better funeral service. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was willing to honor any and all requests. A direct burial for my mother in law was planned, which means no chapel services or graveside services, just buried and a memorial service. The direct burial was scheduled for a certain date and time. The immediate family members were told we could be there. We arrived at the appointed time and discovered the grave hadn't been dug yet. We had to wait 35 minutes and then watch as the grave for our precious loved one was excavated, including complications from tree roots. Then one of of the men helping to carry the coffin slipped into the grave when the side of the grave collapsed in and the coffin almost ended up on it's end. Horrible experience.
