Route 66 Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center

This place is amazing. I'm from Santa Fe and called all the local places after hours. Most were closed or didn't want to help. They were very rude and trying to charge a large amount of money. My dog was in labor and pain for several hours and needed to be seen asap. When we called Route 66 Veterinary clinic, the staff members were very friendly and helpful. When we told our little baby girl and her puppy were not doing well. There was a need for her to have surgery and the puppy's heartbeat was low. Miraculously they were able to help deliver the baby with no surgery and he's a strong healthy boy. They also gave us extra time to pick her up from the vet since we were from out of town. The staff was concerned for our safety as well. I would highly recommend this office to any and all pet owners. They truly care about our fur babies. Thank you all so much. My family appreciates everything you did. 🙏💖🐶 On a side note the cost was very low 😊

We lost 2 family dogs within 5 days. My family and I appreciate the way the staff handled our situations. I have never been to an animal clinic where the staff was professional but sincere. I will definitely take my animals to them in the future. The cremation service they provide is reasonable and thoughtful. The way it should be. Thank you for taking good care of my dogs.

LOVE this vet clinic! We needed emergency services on the 2nd day of a 3 week road trip. Our dog with history of both kidney and heart failure had an exacerbation of her heart failure due to elevation. Dr. Welcome was very knowledgeable in his recommendations, used his clinical exam ( rather than relying on an X-ray ) which is a huge bonus and cost was very reasonable . Thank so much team Route 66!! We are 1 day away from completing our road trip and doggy Dora is hanging in there!!

I have read some reviews done by Karen's and John's and it's disgusting. They complained about the wait and communication. Di you know this is an EMERGENCY room? Not a Starbucks. It's not an in and out thing. If you've been to an ER you should know it's going to take time. These wonderful men and women spend hours and hours caring for our little pets. We waited our time there with our cat. We got waters and chips and overall these techs and doctors are awesome. They make you wait because your pet is not an emergency. Your dog with a broken nail can wait the hours to get seen. Our cat was breathing weird, we brought her in and they were right on it. Even with the five other people waiting, we were able to speak to Dr. Rouse and she was kind. Everyone was great. If you treat people with respect, they will treat you just as well. These people know more about our pets then we do. So for you to complain about the services they provide is awful. Route 66, continue doing a great job. I'm sorry you all have to deal with Karen's and john's. Know you are appreciated by great ful people.

I love this place beyond words can explain. The vet that our cat Roxy had was so compassion. All the employees were exceptionally understanding,compassion, and so patient. I even received a condolence card with signatures from the employees. Superb service that I have never received at any other vet place. Thank you so much Route 66 veterinary emergency. ❤️ Keep up the great service!
