I have been using Banfield for a long time. This location is new to me but the staff is very friendly and helpful. We just got a puppy a couple of months ago, so they been patient in answering questions for me.
Banfield at Ten-Ten in Cary has been our veterinary hospital for over 5 years. The staff is professional, knowledgable and pleasant. The veterinarians here are caring and helpful. We had an older dog that was treated very well right through the time it was to say goodbye to her. When we adopted a new pup into our family we joined back up here to keep her healthy. Our pup has been seen for basic appointments, and even had to have exploratory surgery. Everything was done in a timely manner right on site. Our pup was fixed up and healed quickly after surgery. I won't hesitate to bring my animals here ever. *Dr. Z did the surgery and Dr. L is our regularly scheduled vet.
This place is great. The vet was super friendly and professional, as were the assisting staff... especially for a Saturday. They also called me as promised with expected test results. Wish I knew about this stand alone Banfield years ago. Looking forward to continuing our pet visits here for years to come.
We tried to take our Mastiff there. He's a little over a year old and 130 pounds. As one of the other reviews stated, it appears this office is afraid of big dogs.nnWe brought him in and after about 30 minutes, they brought him back out and said that they were not able to evaluate or give him his shots because he kept turning his head toward them. They asked us to put a muzzle on him. Well the muzzle they had was way too small and did not fit. So they were going to try and give him his shots in the parking lot since we are not allowed to go in with him due to COVID. My husband had the dog's head between his legs and they were just about to give him the shot when the vet decided that we shouldn't do it in the parking lot and we should go behind the trees. So we move behind the trees and now our dog is a bit more anxious and kept moving every time they decided to try and give him his shots. They suggest we give him sedation meds and bring him back.nnThree days later we sedate him as instructed and bring him back. They come out again and tell us they were able to give him 2 shots, but that he was still being uncooperative. The vet tech repeated that it was not his behavior, that it was because he was so big and they couldn't restrain him. I was not at the 2nd appointment, my husband was.nnWhen he got home, I called them asking if they would cancel the wellness plan since it was clear that they could not treat him. Initially, she gave me a hard time, but then told me that she could cancel it since I just signed up a few days ago. So, as I was asking what my cost would be for the treatment they were able to provide without the wellness plan, she tells me she already canceled it and couldn't change it. She also told me that she didn't think any vet could treat my dog which really made me mad because he is the sweetest dog I've ever met, he's just big and keep in mind he's still a puppy. We had taken him to Thrive before this and they never had any issues with him at all.nnThey ended up charging me an additional charge for services they did provide and never refunded the original charges for the wellness plan. At this point, I've paid over $200 for 2 shots. I had to call and play phone tag with the head vet to get a refund as she was always busy doing surgeries. One time I was left on hold for over 20 minutes. I did eventually connect with her and finally received my refund.nnNot to mention, not once did I get any receipts or paperwork. They handed me a printout of the wellness agreement when I signed up, but when I got home and looked at it, it was for someone else. So they gave me someone else's paperwork. I just called and asked them to send me shot records so I could take him back to the original vet and they had the wrong email address. I had filled out all of the paperwork online, but they had none of that info when I arrived. I had to do it all over again.nnAnother issue I had was that when I arrived and tried to call to let them know we were there, I couldn't get through. I had the same issue trying to call and schedule the appointment and so I ended up doing it online. So, I knocked on the door and a girl came to the door with an attitude because I didn't call.nnThere wasn't one part of this experience that was good. I would not go back there and would not recommend them to anyone. A vet should be able to handle any size dog.nnYou reached out to me and I did respond and I did eventually speak to someone as stated above. So, your response is not true. I responded a few times and the person I needed to speak to was busy and was even left on hold over 20 minutes. It's a shame I had to speak to someone in order to get my refund for the canceled wellness plan. It should've automatically refunded upon cancellation as I was told it would.
I absolutely love the staff and the veterinarians at this location. This location and the staff have consistently shown professionalism, consistency, efficiency, and a genuine nature. I will continue taking my dog Lobo to this location for all his vet needs. From a phone call to the conclusion of the visit, the stress of taking my dog to the vet has been relinquished. I sincerely thank every one of the staff who have been so open and warm to me, accepting all of my dog's hugs, and have been so responsive to any questions. And thank you to everyone who just let my dog Lobo hug them: he literally acts like he's a rockstar when he goes to the vet now. Thank you!
