Took my cat here and he received excellent care. The staff is compassionate and do their absolute best with all of the stress they are constantly under and the number of extreme cases they see in a day. Cases are triaged for severity so yes the wait time can be longer, and yes it's more expensive than a regular vet visit, but understandably so. Keeping that in mind, I 10/10 recommend this hospital for emergency and urgent situations.
I’ve used Blue Pearl as an emergency vet for my dog, Harvey, twice in the past few years, each time they have been both professional and caring. I definitely feel that they care about my dog while they have him and even during Covid restrictions they are communicative about the whole process. I will definitely continue to use them for any emergency I have regarding my pets, highly recommend!
I am incredibly impressed with all the staff at BluePearl Pet Hospital Virginia Beach. Having two English bulldogs I am no stranger to emergency veterinary care. Over the course of our bulldogs stay at BluePearl, every single doctor that we spoke to provided frequent and incredibly thorough updates, answered all my questions, and never once made me feel rushed. I am incredibly impressed with the level of care and compassion that they provide and their prices are incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend.
Wanted $5k up front to help my seriously ill senior Great Dane. They wouldn’t even start helping him unless I paid the entire estimate up front. These people only care about taking advantage of panicked people. There is a special place in hell for the people that work there. Bay Beach Veterinary saved him and only charged $700. Please take your pets to someone that actually cares about them and not the $$$
My senior dog collapsed in my living room the Monday before Christmas. I took him in immediately to Blue Pearl to see what was going on. They did a nice job communicating with us throughout the process. Unfortunately the prognosis was not good and I asked the Veterinarian what I should do. He was honest about the life span after surgery with my dogs condition as well as what he would do if it were his dog. My dog was suffering, unfortunately it takes an ultrasound to find that out. I was sad I had to say goodbye, but I knew it was the best decision given the circumstances. It was not easy at all but they were empathetic and courteous throughout the process. I commend everyone that works there and the difficulty of having to see people say goodbye to their beloved animals. The cremation of my baby boy turned out beautiful, although I didn’t leave there with my best friend walking beside me, I left there with more respect for people who work in this profession. Thank you all for everything.
