Opsahl-Kostel was very accommodating in helping the family with a traditional funeral. The staff was very patient while having to make difficult decisions easier. Upsahl Kostel Funeral Home did an amazing job handling our mother's funeral arrangements during the Covid pandemic. They were extremely flexible and accomodating when we had to reschedule the funeral, as well as plan a celebration of life from 3 states away. We highly recommend them for end of life planning as well. We are thankful that mom and dad chose them.

The passing of our beloved mother during COVID was very difficult. We could not hold services in the church that she belonged to for decades because of the closure which was very disheartening. However Kevin and the staff at Opsahl-Kostel funeral home made the service at the funeral home very nice and provide closure for our family. They streamed the service for all of the family and friends that could not be present. This was extremely heartening for us and those who could not attend. They even streamed the funeral procession all the way to the cemetery along with the burial services. We can't thank them enough for all that they did to make the passing of our mother a beautiful experience for us to celebrate the life of Mom❤

When my mother went into the nursing home we met with Ted at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory to be sure her final wishes were taken care of exactly as she wanted them. Ted was patient and did a wonderful job explaining options and walking us through the entire process. Recently mom passed and and Ron came to the nursing home immediately to start the process, and took the time to comfort the family and set up the meeting for reviewing arrangements. We met with Kevin and Ron who went over the arrangements in detail in an extremely caring and compassionate manner, allowing us to share stories, grieve and accommodating changes that had come up since the pre-planning. They provided the gentle guidance we needed as we asked questions and made decisions about things we had not even considered before. The entire staff has been so helpful providing materials, answering questions and making multiple follow-up contacts with us to see how we are doing during the grieving process. Bob did a wonderful job of preparing a video tribute that will be a truly great memorial for our family for years to come. We are truly grateful to everyone at Opsahl-Kostel for the kindness they showed us and all they have done for us during this difficult time.
