I highly recommend Dr. Stein and his staff, my dog has needed a few procedures over the years (root canal, tooth extraction, and growth removal on her gums) and every time it's been a great experience, especially for more reactive/fearful dogs because they only take on a few patients a day in order to take the best care of each patient, even giving them their own room and treating them with utmost kindness. True this makes the waitlist pretty long, but it's worth it if you can wait, so it helps to be proactive if you can. It's hard to leave your pet at a vet clinic for surgery, but it is made much easier knowing how calm and friendly they are here, with low volume per day, meaning less stress for your pet, more one on one care. Dr. Stein is very thorough as well, knowing your pets' history before you have to say anything, and will go over every step needed in the procedure, and everything is itemized and estimated before you agree to the procedure. He even took it upon himself to take care of other issues he found in her mouth that would have flared up had he not acted, which I appreciated because it may have saved me from making another trip later. I feel like they do what is best for your dog here, while also treating them gently, which is very reassuring.

Dr Stein meets you in the parking lot to talk to you when your pet is being dropped off. Being COVID times, sadly I have needed to take my cat to see specialists several times since May. This is the ONLY time I have had the pleasure of actually meeting a doctor face to face. He is extremely professional and very laser focused. My girl needed extra care due to several ailments. He had answers for all my questions. He never made me feel rushed and he is straight forward. If you are looking for someone to coddle you, this isn’t the place and I appreciate that. Why? Because he was putting my cat, with more than one special need, under anesthesia in just a few hours. He comes out at drop off as well- where he is more relaxed. After all, his surgeries are over. His techs are amazing both accompanying him before and after. I could tell my cat felt better on the ride home. She was alert and wanted to check out her surroundings. Thank you Dr Stein and staff! It was costly, but this is speciality work and to watch my girl pain free, made it worth the money.

Dr. Stein is extremely professional and knowledgeable! Our dog had an oral mass and he thoroughly explained all of our options, the cost, procedure, recovery, etc. He also explained how each option would be impacted by the biopsy results. Our dog had a fast recovery with no issues at all, the staff called to check on her recovery, and the follow up appointment is included with the surgery cost! PLEASE do yourself and your pet a favor and choose an oral surgeon over your typical vet for any dental work. I promise that you get what you pay for and Dr. Stein is worth every penny! Thank you to Dr. Stein and the entire staff for taking care of our Addie!! ❤

Dr. Stein is extremely arrogant. He immediately makes you distrust him, because as a pet owner you realize that the animal you love is going to be under the knife, and under anesthesia. Will he care for her? Will he show her the same lack of concern he’s giving you? Does your pet matter to him? He did not care for the well being of our dog Lani as he should of under the guidelines that a Doctor should adhere to. We felt this very unprofessional of him. Please read his reviews. Some are good , and some are bad. The bad reviews seem to be very similar to each other in regards to the way Dr. Stein comes across to pet owners. We tried to look past his arrogant, fault finding, and sarcastic nature; and yet realized that the more he spoke, the less we trusted him. We met him in his parking lot due to COVID-19, and paid him close to $100 for a consultation fee. It took a long time to get the consultation. Don’t be fooled though. He will say it’s because of his expertise and the trust Doctors give him. We found that he is the ONLY Doctor in this area with this practice, therefore he is in high demand. If more Doctors practiced in this area, with this speciality , we are certain that his numbers would decrease.nDr. Stein took our sweet dog into his offices to perform what we thought was a detailed exam. He came back to our car, delivered our dog back to us, and said sarcastically’Why haven’t you cared for your dogs teeth all these years?’ After I picked up my jaw from the floor, I kindly said that we are on a monthly plan with our veterinarian, and they examine her regularly, and when they told me she had a loose tooth with pus coming out of it, and needed it removed, and a teeth cleaning, I immediately asked them for a referral to a specialist and that is why we are here.n**** Please note that later Dr. Stein then claimed that Lani’s breed is ‘known’ for decaying teeth. Jab number one noted.nDr. Stein then said ‘She needs all of her teeth out!!’ We were baffled. How could our vet who knows Lani say one tooth, and this arrogant man say ALL teeth.nHe then said ‘I can’t even see ALL of her teeth! ‘nThat made absolutely no sense to us.nHe didn’t expand on that thought. He didn’t educate us further.nI told him we’d like to just do what our vet requested at this time and have the one tooth removed and have her teeth cleaned. He then snapped ‘I’d refer you back to your vet then’. He handed me an estimate for several thousand dollars that he had prepared in his office. Later, the office contacted me though and said that Dr. Stein has placed Lani on his highest priority list and if there is and opening then they will call. I got busy scheduling an Ultrasound at another animal hospital to make sure that our dog Lani was healthy enough to undergo surgery in the first place.nI told Amanda at Dr. Steins office that I wanted to make sure that Dr. Stein knew we were going to have just one tooth removed and her teeth cleaned.nWe had the Ultrasound for Lani, I forwarded a copy to their offices. They gave us a surgery date of November 12th.nPlease note: Due to my limited space for this review, please understand that Doctor Steins response below is filled with lie upon lie. At NO TIME did he ever tell us that he saw more teeth with pus. This is a flat out lie. Although if he had, I would think if he were a compassionate, and caring doctor he would of immediately placed Lani on his surgery schedule to help her in ANY way, instead on 11/9/20 he cancelled our surgery appointment with no explanation, that was scheduled for 11/12/20. This all began in August. That’s a long time to wait for an animal needing urgent care wouldn’t one think ?nBEWARE of this doctor. There is something concerning about a man who would go into this line of work with the personality of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.nAlso we have only done 3 reviews .Two of them are extremely complimentary to the businesses we reviewed. Dr. Steins is the only negative review we have made. Again, don’t let him fool you.
