I have been taking my pets to Dr. Mira for 9 years and I have never felt like I was not getting the best care. He is always willing to listen to your concerns about treatments (financial & otherwise). Like all practitioners, he does things they way he feels is best. It does not mean there aren't other ways to do similar care treatments but just as if you were the patient, you are in the drivers seat and can make educated decisions for your pet with the advice of a caring staff and Veterinarian. For these reasons and more, I do recommend Howard County Animal Hospital.

my puppy died from this clinic! My puppy got vaccinated from this place a few days ago, showed up with a very strong reaction, vomiting and diarrhea. It is definitely abnormal. As soon as we found out, we took him back to the doctor, but the doctor said it is common and got him another shot said it would help with absorbing vaccine, and said every symptom which showed up were normal and would Only last till Monday. With his words, we trusted it and went home hoping it would be over by Monday. But after that shot, my puppy’s reaction seemed to be worsen. We went back again and he said it’s common reaction, he is healthy. Soon the day after, my puppy passed away. We sent the puppy to emergency and proofed that he was died from over dosing vaccine. He was only 8 weeks. He was bright and sweet. Definitely not going there for any reason

I love this place. The people that work there are great, caring, understanding and do everything possible to help your animal. The prices are very fair, especially for people like me who brings in injured/hurt cats from the streets

Dr Mira and staff are lifesavers for our rescue animals. They see a huge volume of very sick cats from the rescue and are always able to make room to see us the same day or next day. My current foster cat Sally would not be alive today without them. She was found an inch from death out on the street with a severely matted coat and huge, open, bleeding tumor. They removed her mats and gave her an emergency blood transfusion before performing emergency surgery to save her life. She is happy and sassy and enjoying the rest of her days indoors due to their fast action and professional knowledge. We appreciate them so much!

Everyone was so nice and helpful! I was worried my dog would panic but the staff were very gentle with her. They were understanding and made sure to break down my bill and explain what each charge was for, which is rare when you visit any doctor. They're definitely my go-to animal hospital from now on and I highly recommend taking your pet there as well.
