There aren't words to accurately describe the level of compassion and love Dr. Erik and Deanna (the primary vets) have for their patients. Our Basset Hound was suffering from a life-threatening tumor on her spleen which needed surgery. After taking her to 3 or 4 places on the island, we came across Kamaaina Pet Hospital by either fate or chance. Their prices are by far the best on island (they charged roughly half of what 3 other clinics quoted) and the staff are the friendliest, most knowledgeable, and most accommodating. Dr. D has PERSONALLY stayed with our beloved hound at the clinic multiple nights to see she makes it through the critical stages post surgery. They additionally worked with us several times when the bills got too high. Finally an honest veterinary clinic that looks at patients and their owners as family instead of walking wallets!

I moved in from Chicago at the beginning of the year with my dog Astrid who unfortunately has been kept in Hawai'i State Quarantine for two weeks now. Through all the stress and headaches that the quarantine has inflicted upon me, the staff, more specifically- Keri, at this location has done a wonderful job of answering my many phone calls and helped sort out any confusion. She has been very reassuring and flexible throughout all of this

All the staff here was very nice and tried to accommodate and schedule an appointment for us as soon as possible. They made the visit very easy even during the covid pandemic. We parked outside and was able to walk our dog in to make him comfortable. Then Dr. Pegg called us while doing examination and addressed any concern. The whole process was very smooth.

We fell in love with this vet! The prices are cheaper than anywhere else on the island, the entire staff is super friendly and informative. Plus both of my dogs love going there. They go in the back willingly with no fuss!

Pissssss poor service!!! The rudest people I’ve ever encountered!!! They treat people like they are two year olds!!! We don’t need an explanation of things every time we come in like we have no knowledge at all. It’s very disrespectful! Threaten every time you come in to not sell you something your dog needs when you don’t need it repeated. They only care about getting their money!!! DO NOT go here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
