As a person the funeral director, Joe, is a very kind gentleman. I will however tell you that I am completely disappointed in the handling of the process. When you lose a love one you expect things to be taken care of. With the restrictions in place for COVID we were not permitted to have calling hours.nnWe had a funeral mass and then took my mothers cremated remains to the cemetery to be laid to rest. As a professional in the industry as long as this company has been around, coming up to me as we just complete a service, me physically caring my mothers remains and him telling me that I have to pay the organist and church dumbfounds me. Would it make sense to pay the church as a professional and simply add it to the billing invoice rather then coming up to a grieving family member?! It does not matter in anyway who arranged the service, you a professional providing a service to a family suffering a loss.nnA obituary that was full of errors with no proof reading or calling for clarification to ensure accuracy simply tells me that times are not what they use to be.nnAgain as a person , he is a great man. However I truly feel this could had been handled much different.
As a funeral director myself (from TX) I can speak to the professionalism of Joe (owner). He handeled my grandfather's funeral as is grand was his family member. If I am ever in need in the Youngstown, OH area I would not hesitate to call on Joe
