The doctors and staff at Pitt's take excellent care of my aging pets. They listen to my concerns, ask questions that allow me to explain any symptoms, and their provide gentle, loving care while my pets are with them. I recently brought our 18 year old cat home from there after he spent one night with them, and I could not be more pleased with their care and attention to his needs. Three months ago I had to ask them to euthanize my precious fur baby who was dying of cancer. They treated Peggy Sue so very special, and they provided an experience exactly as I requested, allowing me to hold her in my arms as she died. They helped me to lovingly let her go. I am forever grateful that friends recommended Pitt's to me when we moved to Lincoln three years ago.
I’ve been bringing my animals here for five years, and I have to say, this WAS the best vet in Lincoln, but I’m afraid they’ve gone substantially downhill since Dr. Pitts left. The last 3 times I have visited, they have had no respect for my time, or for the stress on my pets that’s added by sitting in a cramped carrier. Every time I roll up with an animal in a carrier, we sit and wait in the car for 15-35 minutes before being seen, which adds a lot of stress to the animal for that visit. It’s also highly disrespectful of MY time as a human. I’ve got things going on, so if they are running behind for the day (which they seem always to be), then I deserve a phone call to be told as much.
Pitt's has been the best! Our dog has had a number of random things happen such as her allergies and they have been so great to work with and have supported us throughout the process. No question is dumb to them and I consistently feel more informed every time I leave there. Definitely the place to go if you're looking for a vet in town!
If I could leave a 0 I would. Originally, we brought our cat here because he was having skin issues and here we are, at another vet because Pitts failed to diagnose my cat properly and ended up getting worse!!!! They (Pitts) claimed to have done a “skin scraping”, because we had thought he contracted mange/scabies from an extended stay (we just recently moved here) but obviously, according to my cats medical records, that is false! And we paid for it! The current vet he is at states that nothing but an ear swab had been conducted because there were no actual skin scraping culture report! So, here we are, another vet, and my baby is worse than before because of negligence, and not for lack of me or my husband following their care instructions! Don’t come here. They only do the minimum, charge you for the full work up, and send you out the door and pray for the best! I trusted this place, they are highly rated (not sure why now) and now having to deal with whether he will be ok or not! I am devastated because we are not sure if he will make it through this. DO NOT COME HERE!
I moved out of state and I just wanted to come on here and say how amazing these people are! Louie and I will definitely miss this place a lot, they are so helpful. It’s going to be hard for me to find a place as good as them, I recommend them to all my friends! They are very good at explaining things and are so caring and passionate with what they do. Thanks Pitts!
