San Marcos Veterinary Clinic

I absolutely love this veterinarian clinic. I used to live in SM then ended up moving out of state and really missed them when I had to switch clinics. Now I’m back in Austin and will drive the 45min just to take my dogs here. They are always friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. I know my dogs will be taken care of here, which is the most important part. Highly recommend!

They have been treating my fur babies years. I would've take my babies to anyone else. Dr. House is a very good doctor, and she really cares for her fur patients. That is what I love. If my fur babies love her that is a wonderful thing. I can not speak highly enough at them. They are wonderful!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for taking such good care of my daughter and her sweet cat. The overnight stay ended up being extremely affordable, which was a huge relief to my daughter during the holidays. We aren't sure yet what the prognosis is for her kitty long-term, but I am so grateful she is in such caring and compassionate hands.

Dr. House is by far the best and their prices are more than reasonable. She is helpful, compassionate, and truly amazing at her job. My animals love her and the rest of the staff. I’ll always take my fur babies there!

My 3 month old puppy was recently diagnosed with Parvo, so we took him to the San Marcos Veterinary Clinic where they assured us he was in great hands and that they would take great care of him. My boyfriend and I had so much hope for our baby and felt relief knowing he would be taken great care of and would get to come home soon. But, little did we know it was all a lie. They left our very sick 3 month old puppy overnight by himself for 15 hours with no assistance which later resulted in his death. No one at that clinic informed us that he was going to be left alone all night for 15 hours, it is beyond inhumane to leave a dying 3 month old puppy by himself without caring to notify his owners that no one would be there to take care of him. If we were informed we would've never left him there in the first place. They could of at least suggested a 24/7 clinic, or advised us to treat him at home, or simply just notified us in the first place that he would be left alone. But they didn't do any of this because they only care about the money and not the lives of the animals! We would of NEVER left him there if we were informed. This clinic is money motivated and I hold Veterinarian Julie G. House accountable for the death of my baby. Who in their right mind would leave a dying 3 month old puppy alone for 15 hours with a life-threatening virus? You should be knowledgeable enough to see he needed extra care to help him survive, but instead you abandoned him and left him to die for 15 hours. After receiving the call about my babies death, Julie House did not show an ounce of sympathy whatsoever, our puppies death was 100% preventable and she is to blame. Choncho (our puppy) had the sweetest soul and was always the happiest puppy, he did not deserve this. If you love your pets please do not take them here because I promise you they don't care about them. Julie G. House killed my puppy and she should never be able to touch another animal again.
