Very difficult time in my family life. The staff was very kind and made our choices very easy. They have followed up with us to be sure we are doing good

Only a one star because at least one has to be chosen. Myself and my family were treated horribly during a time of grief. I was shocked to know that it is perfectly acceptable for this funeral home not to pick up your deceased loved one for 4-5 days. 4-5 days of staying in the morgue and delaying preparations, because they don't have enough staff on the weekends? Yes, I was told this by the staff. What kind of funeral home runs like this? (although, they did pick up in 2 days, but only because we called them on it). All they had to do was pick up the body and release it to my local funeral home. They could not give me an exact date or time and tried telling me it was because they did not know if there was an autopsy being done. On the date of death I refused an autopsy and verified it with hospital, so not sure why they couldn't find that out when I could, but I believe they may of just been lying to me about that reason. I was treated with disdain and patronized when I was questioning them on their policies, and was told yes, this was their policy. There was witnesses to this conversation that I hope will carry this complaint forward. It took 4 days before my loved one could be brought home and plans to be made because of their policies. Unacceptable. I hope everyone reads this and thinks twice about using this company. They do not know compassion or empathy and I would not use them to bury a fish.

I have had to unfortunately have an encounter with Carnes twice within 2-3years for my oldest sister and my heart my mama in 2020 and although it was and is a tough time in my other only big sister and I life I knew exactly who to turn to to take care of losing my mama..they take care of everything taking some of the load off and we are definitely pleased we as our family will always use Carnes they are professional and they stay in contact to see how they can be of assistance as we go through this tough time in our lives..so we thank you Carnes staff from the upfront staff we talk to or see to the staff we don't see or talk to.thank you..Please let Carnes help you and your family when going through the loss of your love one..

Everyone that I have encountered at Carnes has been a blessing. During the tragic sudden loss of my husband, you all really showed our family true compassion and understanding. It is during these times in your life when you lose someone so dear to you that all you want to hear is a kind word or a nice gesture. Mario and Elizabeth went out of their way to make sure that happened for us. God bless you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
