Love that the general public can go walk dogs there! However they do have an evil witch that works there who will be quick to snap at you like a ferocious dog if you ask what the dogs name is that she walks that is not available to adopt! So for your own safety don't come near this lady because she may either bite or pee on your leg!
Hi! We actually visited twice in two days! We came to see Smoke and check out some other rescue dogs! We feel in love with him immediately! The staff is super helpful and happy to help answer any questions or concerns we had! We couldn't bring him home the first day so we scheduled a time for the very next day! We got to walk him both days! We highly recommend rescuing from this location! Keep up the awesome work! Stay safe and well!
Very nice staff that genuinely cares about each and every animal. They only give you dogs they believe you can handle and they give you fair warnings about them if they’re high energy or if they’re timid around other dogs or people. I love coming here to spend some time with the doggos that are always so much fun!
Adopted my lab-mutt puppy about 7 years ago. They obviously care for their animals. He’s a great dog! So loving, easily trained. Taught him to bring me things from around the house: remote, dropped cell phone, blanket from another room, pillow, etc
Wonderful facility, caring staff. The current executive director, Kim Nock, has done an amazing job fixing all of the issues created by the previous director. They all still manage to care well for, love & share their passion for animals, despite it sometimes being a stressful & thankless job. I foster for them and the support I receive from the staff is incomparable. Their adoption fees are very reasonable & they work extra hard to match animals to make sure they go to perfect homes! I highly recommend the HSWC!
