The staff at the Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air, MD is very well-trained and helpful. Every interaction we had over the 5 days our dog needed to be in supportive care was courteous and informative. Each time we called for an update it was met with sympathetic urgency. All three of the veterinarians, with whom we had the pleasure of speaking, gave us detailed information concerning the health condition of our pet. If you have the unfortunate need for an animal hospital, I can't think of a better, more trustworthy one than this!
Our dog was very sick, the Animal Emergency Hospital took the best care of her. They kept us informed of our dogs progress and what our options were. They responded very quickly when we had questions. After our visit to the hospital, our dogs Veterinarian personally called to see how our dog was progressing. Everyone we came in contact with was very caring and knew who our dog was. They always had supportive and kind words. Excellent 24 hour emergency facility. Place is very clean, & staff are all very professional. Can get a bit pricey if overnight stay is required- but it's a hospital not a kennel. Communication is excellent with Dr. & Technicians. Helpful & knowledgeable, Dr's do their best to explain your pets care & options.
This place has helped me with both my dog and cat. The compassion is real there! I had to put both, senior, animals to sleep ( 4 years apart) and they were there to help me with out making me feel like a horrible person in the process. Again, their compassion for me and my pets was great. They didn’t make me spend more money than was needed with testing or exams at the end of life process. I made the decision, not them, on what I felt was the correct course to take. They privately cremate and you get your beloved back in a beautiful wooden box, foot print on a plaque and a lovely poem. The following week I even received a personally signed card from the staff. Call them, don’t worry about any judging, it will not happen at this great hospital. They will love your pet too!
The emergency vet facility took care of my dog on two occasions. Both times they were wonderful with my dog and kept us up to date with all things. I would use them again if needed. However on our second visit we chose to have our dog put down due to his health. We were charged over $120 to put him down and I feel after all the money we put into him before this they could charge very little to do this service. It was hard enough to make that decision and then harder to pay that amount.
