Del Ray Animal Hospital

I highly recommend this place. They are extremely honest, caring, and willing to help. Basically in my situation my pup had gotten sick while I helped my family member move to DC. I didn’t know what was wrong and I called dozens of vets who couldn’t take me in that day. Del Ray Animal Hospital not only took me in that day, they took the time to listen to what happened and instead of forcing me to do blood work like even my vet at home does, they said everything sounded okay in my pups heart and lungs and we could try some antibiotics and a round of pain meds to see if it helped. I am so grateful for that as I have lost my job and keeping costs low is a huge priority for me so I’m grateful they didn’t have me do anything unnecessary. The vet also took the time to talk through it all with me and my options and I just am so appreciative.nnWhile I was waiting for my pup, I heard another woman say that her vet of over 20 years wouldn’t see their pup for a few weeks and this place took them in. That kind of service is so great and the fact that they care and take the time to talk through it and really take out any unnecessary things is great.nnI’ve recommended this vet to my sibling who moved near there and told my other family friends who have pups about them. I wish I was closer to make them my regular vet because I loved their care!nnThank you Del Ray Animal Hospital!

They were organized, kind, and communicative! So happy to have found such a caring veterinary office after moving to Alexandria from DC! I have a 16 year old dog and the office was so gentle with her and helped with all of our concerns.

went for my dog’s annual checkup. smooth appointment, but the man who took my dog seemed in a rush when I was explaining what I needed for my dog. as a pet parent, I want the absolute best care for my dog and the visit didn’t necessarily make me feel that way. the follow up was nice, and I like their app. I just moved into the area so I can’t say this is my first choice vet as I’ve received better and inexpensive care, but I trust them enough to visit again.

They take good care of our two small dogs. One for nearly 9 years, and our 2nd for over 4. Our rescue has an ongoing gall bladder issue that is being successfully managed currently. The vets call us with results and take time to explain things. They always check in with us after appointments to see how our guys are doing.

Always so sweet with our pittie. We have loved this place since we moved to the area 5 years ago. Reasonable rates. Great service.
