Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital South

We had to put my dog down last week. This office was so compassionate to myself and my family. Always expressing there condolences for our Roxie every chance they had. We picked up her ashes today and they gave us a beautiful wooden box with her name in graved in gold which we did not pay extra for. They made everything very easy for us and were extremely accommodating. The young female vet provided reassurance letting us know that after a full work up, she agrees with our decision to put her down. It’s a sad situation but it helps to hear that because you sometimes you just doubt yourself! We Highly recommend!

Just moved here a few months ago and was referred to pleasant plains. I was told some my dog had a cyst by my previous vet and wanted a second opinion, unfortunately it was a tumor. My baby was treated so well with great bedside manner from all staff especially Dr. Sophia, she called me and gave me updates and calmed my nerves immensely. The office sent me a picture of my girl after her surgery and updated me via phone. This office is honest and didn’t try to nickel and dime me giving me advice and really caring for my dog. Getting bad news is the worse but the staff is full of hope and really positive which helps so much.

First time bringing my 17 year old 7 lbs poodle for emergency treatment. Everyone I spoke too was kind and knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment for the forest ave site for the same day I called but I could have gone to the amboy site earlier if I wanted. The doctor was so nice and took the time to explain snowballs' injury and the medicine to give and what not to give. The people working in the office were very professional and kind. I am so happy that this vet service opened in my area.

I am a new kitten mom and had brought my girls to a different vet office on Forest Ave before coming to Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital South. They both had upper respiratory infections and were treated at Forest Ave for it. One of my girls still sounded very congested and I started getting worried. Pleasant Plains called me at 10PM and was able to get me an appt the following day at 10AM. The staff were super friendly and took good care of my girls. Dr. Sophia called me and gave me all the info I needed and made sure I understood next steps. They even called two days later to follow up and see how my girls were doing. I definitely recommend them.

Absolutely the best doctors and staff on Staten Island. The doctors are so caring and devoted. I feel very confident that my pets are always getting the very best care. The hospital is the cleanest you will ever find!! Absolutely recommend this hospital!!
