Hawkes Flowers & Gifts

I happened to call the day after Valentine’s Day, just to ask if they still had flowers as I was trying to get a few for the following morning. I understand that this is a busy time, In fact that’s why I called because I was not even sure if I could get any at all. To my shock they could. Even better that it would be in the afternoon! I stated that I would be by when I get out of work and would be there at approx 420, I was told it would be better to order them ahead of time then add other stuff when I got there. I informed them I know nothing about flowers and I could not really order anything without seeing it first. Well at that point I was then told how busy they are and how much of an inconvenience it would be that it’s best served if I place an order. I apologized for being a bother as they made me seem and told them I would let them get back to work as it was apparent that me trying to swing by this evening to grab a couple loose flowers on my way by was to much for them. Again I understand they were busy I understand they have a lot going on but I also think they need to understand that I’m not a florist and don’t speak floral terms as in to what to order and what the things are. This was my first experience trying to shop at this facility and it will definitely be my last. I’m sure they do a great job, unfortunately I will never find out.

The folks at Hawkes Flowers are always wonderful to work with and do gorgeous work. For example, they did an excellent job preparing the flowers for my mother's funeral. I especially appreciated they way they used certain colors from the casket piece for each of the other bouquets so that each piece had its own personality but coordinated beautifully with the whole. I highly recommend Hawkes Flowers and Gifts!

Hawkes delivered a STUNNING bouquet to my mother for her birthday. The quality of the flowers and arrangement exceeded my (high) expectations and they graciously alerted her ahead of time when they were coming and went out of their way to find the house, which is on a rural backroad. Thank you, Hawkes -- you made her feel special even though we couldn't be together!
