Tails Humane Society does the best they can with what they got. Everytime my kids and I go up there we enjoy looking at the available dogs and cats they have up for adoption. I feel bad we personally get one but we take please in getting them out of their confined spaces every once in a while. The pandemic has given many of these animals a chance at a better life with more families being home which is good news for these animals. Keep up the good work!

Very poor service they say they are looking for the right home for these pets but they only care about money... I was just in there looking to adopt a kitten. My girlfriend was in there playing with a three month old kitten and she loved both of us a lot and she was wanting to come home with us. We were waiting for our other friend to get there cause he was going to be the main owner and he was driving an hour away and we told the one worker that he was on his way. But the worker did not care at all and told us “we don’t hold pets.” So we kept tell her that he was coming up and then she walked out without finishing the conversation that we were having. Then a lady came in and the kitten ran away and she tried to force it out with a pen. I never seen a kitten so scared on my life. Then she looks at other cats then she walks out and she ask to adopt the kitten. We’ve have been looking for a kitten like that little angle for months and we finally find one and we were in the process of adopting and telling them my friend was on his way to adopt. After my girlfriend and I were there for 2 hours playing with her... and telling them repeatedly we’ll adopt her.. they take the person with the money ready so they can get animals in and out.

I, for the most part, have been pleased with Tails every time I go. The atmosphere is nice, most of the employees are nice, cute animals. I volunteered here a few years back and it was a good experience

This truly is a great place to find a new family member. The staff is incredibly sensitive to these animals needs. This establishment is being run by quality individuals. We found our first kitten Katie (now renamed Daisy) at this shelter after having a miserable time at Paws humane society in Rockford Illinois. Tails is a step above the rest and i wouldn't hesitate to send any friends of mine here for a new pet.

What a wonderful place to adopt a cat,dog, bunnies and other small critters. They really do care where they go. We have adopted both out animals from them as well help foster. Tails has a BIG HEART and they truly go beyond the call of duty to get help and find forever homes for all the animals
