I've been a dog momma for 6 years. In that time, I've been to several different vets- some good, some not so good. I can confidently say that this is the best vet I've ever been to and we will be long term clients. In the past year they have saved both of my dog's lives. Dr. Shanks diagnosed our rescue pup with PDA (a condition that is fatal when left untreated and was missed by other vets) and helped us see her through open heart surgery. She answered all of our many questions with patience and kindness and if she didn't have the answers, she sought them. One occasion we couldn't get into see Dr. Shanks and had to see Dr. Allen instead. I was nervous because we didn't know him. I knew our older dog was really sick and I wanted him to get the best care possible. Dr. Allen hands down saved his life. Without his hard work and coordination with our local ER, it's very unlikely he'd still be here with us. 2020 has been an incredibly hard year for everyone, but without this awesome facility this year would have truly been unbearable for my husband and I. We are grateful for their care, knowledge, sensitivity and dedication. When the worst happens, these are the people you want fighting for your pet!
This clinic has taken care of my pups, and we can’t say enough about the amazing and dedicated work of our specialist, Dr. Shanks. Dr. Shanks is extremely knowledgeable, and really looks out for what's best for your fur babies. We have a bulldog who had an ongoing illness. Several other specialist clinics, despite the much appreciated efforts, simply couldn’t diagnose the poor girl. We turned to Dr. Shanks, who pulled from her vast experience and professional resources to not only diagnose, but successfully treat our bully’s illness! This is a clinic that listens, and is passionate about their work. We love the hours, caring staff, and prices. The prices are super affordable. I live in Dallas but make the drive to Boulevard for the quality of care and superb customer service. Thus far the best clinic, paws down!
The fact that he is knowledgeable, caring and understanding makes him a good vet... his staff makes him an amazing doctor. Our dog is blessed to be taking care of by this loving team.
The staff at Boulevard Animal Hospital are amazing! They are always there to answer questions and they go out of their way for their patients.
I have had the pleasure of Dr.Shanks being my vet for 6 years now. Unfortunately, she moved to another office building. But that does not stop us from traveling to see her so that she can care of my 2 beautiful French Bulldogs. I would not trust anyone else to care for them, she is so thorough in her exams also! Dr.Shanks saved my sweet Coco's life when she was having major digestive problems, she saved me from having to make trips to the ER and gladly took my sweet girl in last minute no questions asked. I could NOT thank her enough for everything she has done for my sweet girl and our family.
