Very professional and courteous. The surgeon did a wonderful job for our dog and the incision was very clean and is healing nicely. Would recommend.
This is one of the absolute best Veterinary Specialists you will find in Utah. My four year old male cat developed a Urethral Obstruction and after spending a week at his regular veterinarian and having a catheter placed four times they decided he needed to have surgery or be put down, however since they had only done the surgery a few times they didn't expect a positive outcome and insisted that I euthanize him. I asked if they knew of any board certified surgeons in Utah that might be able to do the surgery he needed. They forwarded me a short list of a few names and after doing a little research I found Dr. Becker and knew this was the right place as I had previously worked with Dr. Steinman at another location before he came to Granite. Dr. Becker was absolutely amazing, extremely friendly and positive, my cat went from being on his last leg, being unable to walk more than a few feet to being active and wanting to play within three days of the surgery. He has made a complete recovery now and we are just over three weeks out and he is as active as ever. Thank you again for saving my cats life.
This people are going out of their way to save my dogs leg. My dog run away from home was lost for Two days it was taking to AVC vetenetian were they wanted to amputate my 1 year old boxer leg. My husband wasn’t happy with this so he decided to get a second opinion they were ready to amputated her leg, and when they took her to this clinic the Doctor came himself to our car grabbed my dog and took her inside and said..... there is no broken bones I don’t see why I can’t save her leg, this people not only give us hope they had save my dogs leg and changed her life completely, no words or money can pay for what they are doing.
Dr. Becker removed a huge 8.5 pound lipoma from the belly of our 66 pound 10 year old lab, Kody. Kody was understandably a little shaky for the day after surgery, but within 2 days he had a new spring in his step. Stitches came out 11 days after surgery. We flew to Hawaii with him at 14 days, and he’s been enjoying life for the past two weeks with tons of energy. Everything went according to plan. We are extremely pleased with the success of the operation and Kody’s new lease on life. Our cost for the surgery was below the range estimate. Dr. Becker was both professional and compassionate in explaining the pros and cons of the surgery, and we are so glad that he did it.
Can’t thank them enough. After a terrible week with our cat so glad we found them. I’ll try to keep a long story short. Our cat got out late in the night when we took the dog out. Something happened, he came home Sunday mornin and hid under the couch, then when we got him out we noticed there was something wrong. We brought him to the nearest animal hospital and they said his paw was really hurt and that’s why he was limping and we could neuter him a few days later as scheduled. We went to the humane society for the neutering only to get a call telling us his femur is broken. We called and emailed a few places, one vet said no point trying to save the leg she would just amputate it and then we got a very reassuring email from DR. Smith saying no need to amputate he could fix it. I think it says a lot that even though during the pandemic we can’t go in and meet the doctor that we could be so reassured that our 10 month old cat was in good hands. Dr.Smith even neutered him too!!. No hidden fee it cost what they said it would and that was shocking! Recovery just begun but seriously they are amazing!
