Brickyard Animal Hospital

We've been taking our two dogs to Brickyard for a few years, mainly for convenience. Brickyard's front desk customer service and record management is severely lacking. The front desk attendants seem bothered whenever we've had to interact with them (which is typically only to pay our invoice-- pretty straightforward). On two occasions the wrong amount was entered into the credit card processor, resulting in having to have the card charged twice to pay the remainder of the balance. Most importantly, however, we took both of our dogs in for their annual checkup because we intended to take them to dog daycare throughout the week, which required their immunization records. During the visit, they were checked out, received their heart worm medication and said to have been good to go. It wasn't until we were ready to drop them off at daycare that we noticed that our shepherd's immunization record reflected that his bordatella and distemper shots were not up to date and had expired two months prior to his checkup-- meaning that Brickyard failed to catch that seemingly important detail when we were there. When we returned the following week, I addressed the issue with the receptionist, who could not have cared less about the oversight. Finally, after receiving his shots, and upon checkout, we had to correct the staff yet again, after they updated the immunization record for the wrong dog. It is disappointing when those who you entrust with the health of your animals don't follow through with basic health assessments, and still more disappointing when they don't even acknowledge it once it's brought to light.

After trying three separate veterinary clinics for an emergency visit on a dog that was found in Rush Valley Utah, we drove to Brickyard Animal where we were treated like royalty. Although the poor puppy was put down I know that he left with love in his heart for the ladies that cared for him in the end. Thank you so much the Burton family

I have been going to Brick yard for years. They are always so kind to my dogs. I get great care at a fair price

I have used brickyard animal hospital for the last 6 yrs, for shots and general check ups, however I recently took my 7 yr old sheltie in for allergies/skin issues, and frequent urinating as well as excessively drinking water. I paid nearly $300 to have blood work and urine tests done, the vet called 3 days later to say there was nothing wrong, but they wanted to do the urine test again as the result was inconclusive. I assumed it was covered in the original payment or would be free of charge as it was not my fault it was inconclusive, however they called me 5 mins after leaving and requested I pay them an additional $45 for the second urine sample. Vet called the next day to say they found nothing, but recommended I purchase an expensive prescription dog food, from them. I asked the vet specifically if there were other options such as the medication I’ve recently seen on tv for pet allergies. He said no, and gave no additional insight as to the excessive drinking and urination. I asked about specific conditions I had read about that affect shelties and was dismissed. Now months later my poor dog has began having accidents while laying down or walking through the house. He does not even seem to know he is peeing when this happens. I won’t be returning to brickyard animal hospital.
