Dr. Wood has been SO amazing when it has come to working with my dogs immune disease. She has been so communicative and patient with my millions of questions. She helps me find the best prices of everything. Dr. Wood has really cared for my dog (pictured) as if he's her own! Also, her vet technicians are so sweet and always remember Alfie when he comes for check ups. I have been to a few vets that are less responsive, so I highly recommend!

The staff here are outstanding. Dr. Purcell is a fabulous vet who is not only extremely knowledgeable but also equally compassionate. I HIGHLY recommend her if your animal needs to see an internist. I can't say enough good things about her!

UPDATE: Dr Wood responded to my review and concerns with highlights of office policy. Didn't address the failure on her or the clinics part. What is so difficult about owning up to mistakes?n-----nHillside Veterinary Clinic and Dallas Veterinary Specialists are owned by the same group and are located at the same address with different suite numbers. I strongly recommend checking out the reviews for Hillside Veterinary Clinic before deciding to go to Dallas Veterinary Specialists. Almost 40 One Star reviews in the last 6 months. I wish I had known the two were one in the same and read the reviews before going here.nnMy pet was recently diagnosed with diabetes and his vet hasn’t been able to get it under control. He’s lost his vision to diabetic cataracts and has elevated liver enzymes. I sought a board-certified veterinarian in the hopes to find answers.nnAfter coming here for an initial consultation, I waited two weeks for additional testing as Dr Wood requested, those tests have been completed and the results provided to her and her staff. They’ve had them for two days now and they’ve not been reviewed.nnInstead I was asked to come back for the same tests that were just done two days ago. Going back and forth as to the necessity of this. I explained multiple times, they've been provided the lab results. Let me pay for your medical opinion as to what the next step should be. I was then told even with the lab work presented to them, (paraphrasing here) that they are too busy to review his lab results, as they have many other patients.nnI understand that we are in a pandemic at the moment and can stretch staff of any business thin. And if this is the case, then stop taking on new patients so that you can provide excellent, advanced care medicine as stated as part of your mission.nnNow I am back to square one, with precious weeks passing to only have to go find another board-certified veterinarian that can provide the necessary time to care for my pet.
