Dracut Funeral Home is truly a one of a kind family owned business. During what is a very tough time in life they go the extra mile in making everything is just right.

Throughout the years,we have dealt with Gacek Funeral Home. They were always sympathetic and kind. Not so of their son Mark Gacek who is the proprietor of Dracut Funeral Home. He was so rude and unsympathetic at the recent wake of our niece. He refused to take our flower arrangement from the florist due to the fact that it wasn’t delivered in the allotted time slot; two hours prior to the wake. The florist claims it was delivered in the allotted time slot and has never encountered a funeral home refusing an arrangement in her 20 years of business. During the service, Marc brought in an arrangement. I questioned why and he stated it was in the trunk of a car and proceeded to argue with me in the middle of the wake. I took my sister-in-law (the grieving mother) out for some fresh air and when we returned the gentleman at the door stated the line to go through is in the back. Shouldn’t everyone who is affiliated with the funeral home be aware of who the grieving members of the family are? I went into the office to complain, and the woman at the desk was just as rude and unsympathetic offering no apology. When your hearts are broken and your grieving shouldn’t the people handling the services be in tune with those emotions and provide comfort and support instead of rudeness and insensitivity? It is stressful enough to bury a loved, especially at the age of 33. How would Marc and his staff feel if they were treated as such? I’m going to guess extremely stressed and distraught as I did.
