I wish I had read the other 1 star reviews here. At 3:45 today, I took my cat in because he was experiencing breathing problems. My vet said to take him there ASAP. It took 6 HOURS to get my cat back after waiting all that time in the parking lot, in my car! . All he got a routine exam, vet consultation, X-rays, another vet consult, and I was supposed to get liquid steroids to take home with me. When I got my cat back, no steroids were supplied. I asked where are they? The tech ran back in and said “oh the compounding pharmacy is closed. You have to come back tomorrow.”nnThis place is so awful. They could have suggested that I go home and they will call. I only live a half hour away; I wasted 6 hours for what my regular vet could have done in less than an hour.nnTo the owner of this place, please do not give me any of the rhetoric that you replied to the other unhappy patients’ parents about being busier than normal, your staff care deeply...how you are doing your best in the COVID crisis. ... it’s all blah blah blah to me. I know the scripted words because I had been taught to say them to my unhappy customers when I was working. If your staff are overwhelmed, for god’s sake, hire more staff. With all the talk of joblessness, I’m sure there are vets and vet techs out there looking for work! Have better communication with pet parents; I could have gone home instead of sitting in my car for 6 hours. For what my cat needed, 2 hours max would have been sufficient time. You, as an owner, need to make some major improvements, here. I have read where some pets have died while waiting for care here. I will never come back except to pick up my cat’s script tomorrow.nnI have been in the customer service industry for over 40 years, these past 20 years at a 4 star Boston hotel so I know what good customer service is. If could have given your “emergency “ hospital ZERO STARS, I would have given It NONE!nnThis was a terrible, terrible experience that I would never wish for anyone else to have.

Our dog was recently diagnosed with multiple forms of cancer. Mass Vet has been monitoring her on an out patient basis, always prompt, cheery, and understanding staff. Costs have been average or less than what we have paid in the past for emergency procedures at different emergency clinics. Very pleased and would recommend to family and friends.

Brought my almost 10 yr old girl dog there on a very busy evening after spending half my day waiting in my car at a different ED close my house. I was initially hesitant to drive the hour to Mass vet as I wasn’t sure if would make a difference since we anticipated a grim prognosis. I’m so glad we did! The entire staff there is amazing! Compassionate, professional and transparent. They took the time to listen as well as clearly explaining the treatment plan, procedures, and potential costs moving forward. Their communication was top notch and they kept me updated throughout my girls overnight stay. She ended up being followed by Oncology and Dr Kaye was so thorough, clear and informative! I just wish I would’ve/ could’ve made the trip there first!

We are in different times so when people go to Mass Vet or any vet you need to remember that. The wait is long but I was told that in advance so expectation was set properly.nnI was greeted by Jen (or Jess sorry can't remember exactly) who took my Golden in to building. She was extremely professional, listened to my concerns and had empathy. We had an appointment with Dr Haber and didn't know what was wrong with my poor boy. We were chasing ghosts. She made me completely aware of her thoughts for exploratory diagnosis and costs. Yes it's expensive but again transparent so I don't get the surprise mentioned by some reviewers.nnBottom line is we found out was was wrong and unfortunately he was not treatable so we lost my buddy that day there.nnThe staff was amazingly comforting and empathetic. I am sad we lost my boy but comforted in the care he received to the end

I don’t ever take the time to write reviews, but felt I needed to after my experience at Mass Vet today. My cat Lily has a few medical issues and unfortunately I lost some trust with my regular vet. I brought her to Dr. Palladio to evaluate her, and this man was absolutely wonderful to me and Lily. He did a thorough assessment, necessary testing, and took the time to explain things to me in detail (calling multiple times). He was compassionate, thorough, and just all around wonderful. At the end he told me that we were a team and this meant the word to me. I highly recommend Mass Vet, and especially Dr. Kenneth Palladino. He treated this crazy cat lady with respect and Lily like she was his own. I’ll forever be grateful.
