Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic

From out of town for the Easter holiday. Our dog had an allergic reaction to something. We were referred to Salazar Vet clinic. For one the staff was very unprofessional and rude upon answering the phone. I was told she would speak with the provider first. The very unprofessional and rude provider got on the phone and told me that an allergic reaction with severe hives all over my dog's body was not considered an emergency. Not only that but they told me they could not service out of state pets. Why are you even in the industry if you can't help a pet that clearly needed medical attention. We ended up making the drive to Santa Fe where coincidentally they were able to see our out-of-state pet. Do not depend on Salazar to even have an ounce of compassion for your pet. This was so disappointing to me and actually glad we were not seem there. Management needs to be changed.

Staff here is the best. My pups love them.

They are the most helpful and kind vet in Taos! They were able to help me with a carrier when my cat broke his, which was a life saver! They allowed me to drop off my kitty for surgery a day early because of my work schedule. I will continue to use Salazar for all my animal's care!

It’s the people that work there. From the vets on down, you won’t be able to find a better group of caregivers that treat your pets like they treat their own. Too bad I can’t give them six stars.
