I can't say enough great this things about Healing Tails and Dr. Arielle. When I brought my foster cat, Dakota, to her, she was our last hope. He had seen so many vets before about his bowel and bladder incontinence issues, but everyone told us he would never be cured, and this is how he will live his life. That all changed the day of his first appointment with Healing Tails. Dr. Arielle was able to give us a comprehensive plan involving surgical options and holistic treatments at her office. After starting his acupuncture treatments, Dakota has experienced a complete life change. He has begun to use a litterbox and is now experiencing minimal leakage. While I can't be in with him during his appointments due to COVID, he always comes out purring up a storm, so I know he is well taken care of. I can't thank or recommend the staff at Healing Tails enough for their wonderful care. They are truly lifesavers!

Maverick had been suffering from severe allergies for about 2 years prior to bringing him in to Healing Tails. They got so bad this past year, that he was rubbing his face raw and was constantly itching and scratching his body on any surface he could find. I tried everything from changing his diet a number of times, the protein, the type of food, etc. You name it, I tried it. His old vet would have just continued prescribing him pills to cover up the problem but I am all about getting to the root cause of things. I was googling Holistic Veterinary Doctors around Chicago and found Healing Tails. They had great reviews so I figured I'd give it a shot. Even though I can't go inside, Dr. Arielle sat with me while I explained everything that was going on with Maverick while taking extensive notes and what she thought was going on with him. She ended up diagnosing him with leaky gut syndrome and set up him on a proper whole-food-based diet and supplements plan to help restore all the healthy bacteria's in his body and it has truly made all the difference. Dr. Arielle is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Maverick has always been nervous around doctors and not being able to go inside with him during Covid-19 has been tough but I feel very comfortable handing him over to Dr. Arielle during these times, and he clearly is too. He's visibly a much happier and healthier dog now and I'm so thankful! I highly recommend Dr. Arielle and her services!!

I brought my senior chihuahua to see Dr. Arielle Herndobler, covered in an antibiotic resistant skin infection and unable to eat due to the medications he was on. After trying multiple treatments, our regular vet said there was nothing else he could do and I was completely defeated. Dr. A not only helped my dog get well, she designed a continuous treatment plan to manage his skin problems as well as other senior dog issues he was experiencing. The treatment is affordable and Dr. A and her staff are responsive and available when you need them. I'm forever grateful for their help and highly recommend Healing Tails.

5 stars in ALLl categories! Dr. Arielle is so incredibly thorough and takes the time to find out what is going on on the very first visit and then sends you a report starting with what you're doing now with your baby and her recommendations for the future. I can say after 4 acupuncture visits with my sweet boy with Stage 2 Kidney Disease, he is drinking a ton less water (an incredibly positive sign) and I am following Dr. Arielle's recommendations to a T. She and her staff have made us feel so well cared for. She will be my boy's Eastern Medicine vet for life.

We had just moved to Chicago when my dog started presenting symptoms similar to IVDD. We first went to West Loop and then BLVD but walked out with no diagnosis and just a bunch of pain meds, leaving us feeling so helpless. Fortunately we discovered Dr. Arielle and immediately she was able to diagnose our pup and put her on a treatment plan that worked. We have continued to see Dr. Arielle for the last 2 years for maintenance and feel so fortunate that we found a doctor who is able to manage our pup’s condition to the point that we have been able to avoid a MRI and surgery. In addition to the in-office treatments, Dr. Arielle gave us tools to utilize at home for ongoing care. She’s definitely an expert in her field and has helped me truly understand the gravity of our pup’s condition, guiding us with lifestyle changes to implement and triggers to avoid. When it comes to our pup, Dr. Arielle is the best.
