Kreidler Memorial Chapel

We just had services for my mother-in-law this past weekend. Kreidler had been recommended to us by a family member. I called prior to her impending death to get information on how we would proceed in this Covid-19 era. Mr. Kreidler answered the phone and walked me through the guidelines and limitations about gatherings and provided many options and suggestions on how we could accomplish a dignified service. Last week after her death we called and Mr. Kreidler again answered and was so compassionate and helpful. My sisters-in-laws went over to see him later in the afternoon and remarked that he treated them like family. I have seen the other review from below, I can't even imagine that we are talking about the same place. I didn't get the other employees names but everyone there was very polite and accommodating. During the services we knew they were there, but they were near the offices and they were just standing by ready to assist.nEverything was beyond perfect and they were so professional and compassionate. He answered every call in the days before the services, and there were many. They delivered all the plants to the house immediately following the services. We returned to our home and had already received a note of condolences from Mr. Kreidler in the mail. This was not my first funeral to plan and I can say that this was by far the easiest and most compassionate. If you are in McAllen or any other city in the Valley, you won't regret letting them take care of your loved one.

The only problem and complain I have with this funeral home was with the Funeral Directer her name was Lisa Brand and I made sure to get her full name because I was so disgusted with her attitude. She was externally rude, wasn't not helpful at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone mainly because of that Funeral Director. I can only imagine what type of business would hire someone that would represent the Funeral Home so so low. It makes me wonder that they are probably as rude as she is. Please take your business elsewhere to have better service and employees that will treat you way better. I would not want to have my love ones here is she will be working there. It is so disappointing because I've always heard great things about Kreidler but all that was washed out because of her.

John and Kay Kreidler are exceptional at what they do. They helped my mom and I fulfill my father's final wishes by setting up a memorial service in McAllen and then helped us with the lengthy bureaucracies with the Philippine American consulate and airline companies to ship his body to his home city to be buried in the family cemetery. John was instrumental in working through every difficult situation that arose with this complex endeavor. He even personally escorted the body all the way up to the San Antonio airport and made sure that all of the paperwork was in order. On top of it all, their prices were very reasonable, and the Kreidler's were very generous in allowing us to delay payments until my dad's life insurance benefit came in which took almost two months after the services were rendered. The chapel at the Kreidler funeral home was perfect for the intimate service we had for my dad, and John even carried another podium himself at the request from my mom. They went above and beyond ensuring that mom and I were taken care of during this difficult time, and they made sure that we made wise financial decisions from the casket all the way to the airplane tickets. In the end, they easily saved us thousands of dollars had we gone with another funeral home. I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism, old-fashioned customer service, and reliability that the Kreidler's came through with in our time of commotion and grief. I highly recommend their services.
