Special Flowers Couture Florist

I made the worst mistaken choosing this person to be my florist for my wedding day. Everything was so ugly! She expects to be paid in full a month before the wedding date and still has to nerve to show up on my wedding day and tell me she won’t be completing the work because “she doesn’t feel well”. Please whatever you do don’t choose this person to be your florist.

They did a horrible job servicing my wedding. After we initially met and made the payment for her services it was super hard communicating with her. After calls and emails she would answer weeks later with some random excuses. She didn't keep us in the loop with her plans and on the day of the wedding showed up with flower arrangements that I wasn't satisfied with. I told her how did she go such a different direction from what we had spoken about and she gave me attitude and tried to say I was being dramatic and to let her do her job because she was the expert.

Traumatized! My sister had a great experience planning. Everything was so smooth and easy. She was really excited about working with this “floral artist”. UNTIL, the actual wedding day. The flower arrangements were absolutely horrible. It seemed as though she showed up the day of the wedding hungover because her flower arrangements, work and pricing were not up to par for a “couture” florist! It’s so embarrassing to even mention to people the cost of the flowers. It’s been a few years since the wedding and my sister still cries over how much money was wasted over hideous arrangements. On top of that there was lies about what happened to certain floral pieces and why they weren’t at the designated location or why certain pieces looked a certain way (small) that day. NOT EVEN a simple apology the next day from this florist. She took that money and ran. Even people who work closely with her in the wedding industry said her work wasn’t great that day. Not to mention every photo is ruined because of the ugly bridal boutique. People were so confused as to why my sister would choose such an ugly bouquet. Maybe this is our fault because we trusted her too much. You would think thought for the outrageous cost you wouldn’t have to worry. After all, you’re supposed to be working with the best of the best in the industry. Not the case! Please save yourself thousands (and I mean THOUSANDS) of dollars, years of therapy and tears. I absolutely hate to write bad reviews but to still see how upset and depressed this subject makes my sister breaks my heart. Brides should have zero regrets from what’s supposed to be their most joyous day. It was and still is an extremely devastating situation.

Brenda is a lifesaver! She was able to do all our wedding flowers and decorations plus the wedding planning with two weeks notice after things did not work out with our first wedding planner/florist. She put ours minds at ease after that first meeting and everything looked flawless. She was able to take our vision and make it a reality, plus she was able to stay within our budget. Brenda is professional, well organized, and knows the ins and outs of event planning as she’s been doing this a long time. I feel confident recommending her to my friends and family since I have experienced her outstanding work. You will not be disappointed!

I am extremely happy that I decided to go with Special Flowers by Brenda Guerra as the florist for my wedding. Brenda is an amazing professional with a true gift for what she does. Planning everything is stressful, but Brenda put me at ease right away in our first meeting. She is so easy to work with. She is extremely professional and understood my vision right away. She even gave great suggestions or alternatives in places where I was stuck on what to do. She always keeps you updated on everything that is happening and knows exactly what she is doing. I was just so blown away on my wedding day as everything looked just so beautiful and amazing. She truly made my dream wedding come true and I could not be more thankful!
