I decided to give a local place a try instead of online flower stores... I ordered a 'premium' (the most expensive level for this bouquet) bouquet I saw online for Mother's Day. I made sure that I only ordered from a place that guaranteed next day delivery, because of Mother's Day, as I know flower shops are extremely busy. The website stated the next day delivery, but unfortunately, they could not deliver the flowers on Mother's Day. No worries, I agreed to a discount and a complimentary box of chocolates (which was very nice of them) and a following day delivery. I received the flowers the following day and the bouquet is a let down. I was aware of the flower substitutions if the flowers in the picture were not available. That is ok, if the replacement flowers were filling the bouquet to the same standard as of 'premium' of original bouquet. The bouquet was not even close to the gorgeous fullness as the picture. I was not worried about what flowers they used, but more to the look it would present the bouquet to my mother and my grandmother. Absolutely not worth $90 ($75.00 after discount) that I spent.
Just ordered some sympathy flowers for a dear friend through Floral Designs by Gene. Had a great experience doing business with him, I had no idea what to order or what to say and he was able to listen, take notes and make suggestions. This dreadful task was a breeze! Please consider this local company.

After a bad experience with 1-800-flowers for an arrangement that never was delivered to a dear friend of mine I was left answerless and actually a bit angry that no one notified me that the arrangement had not been sent. That is when I called the florist directly and Gene picked up to clarify all my concerns. He took his time to explain the process, told me what to do to get my money back from 1-800-flowers, and also offered me an upgrade on my arrangement eventhou the first arrangement that he made got ruined by the ineptitude of 1-800-flowers. His customer service was top notch and my friend just received a beautiful arrangement that brightened her day. Gene went above and beyond to make my shopping experience a great one and I loved what he made. I'll definitely be ordering directly from him again.
