The best of the best. I have had the privilege to have Dr. Kurt as our vet for our 3 dogs. His quality of care and compassion for our dogs has been unparalleled.nnWhen I was working with a trainer, he best explained Dr. Kurt when he told me that Dr. Kurt had picked out a dog in the corner of his field with an illness that he was convinced this dog had, and told the trainer to make sure he passed it on to the owner. The trainer was so impressed with his diagnostic ability and his compassion to correctly diagnose a dog that he had no affiliation with.nnDr. Kurt’s top priority is to make sure his clients are surrounded by the most phenomenal staff, Vet- technicians and veterinarians. WAH put your pets first.

Good doctors but they over vaccinate. Best practice for the last several years is to give the distemper vaccine every 3 years. This practice still does it every year. Over vaccinating landed my 10 year old dog in the hospital. She was bleeding from everywhere. These doctors couldn’t figure out the problem so I had to take her to the emergency animal hospital and they diagnosed and treated her (twice). It was only after my dog went through all this that they said my dog didn’t really need the vaccine because she was 10 years old. Good information to have before they went ahead and gave her the shot. Please just be aware of their vaccination policy. Read up on current practices and do what you think is best. Don’t let them strong arm you into over vaccinating (Dr. D).

I moved to the area in July 2019 from California. We've got three dogs and in CA we had a great vet so we were hoping for the same great treatment. We found Winnetka Animal Hospital on Google, read the reviews and went in. From the moment you get there, they treat you and your pet like family. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and fun to be with - putting you at ease with great care. They recommended a great place for boarding, day, care and training (Brooks Canine Center) with whom they have a great relationship. The team at Winnetka Animal Hospital is top notch.

This place is great if you avoid the Vet Tech Angie Mirabella. She is a miserable sloth that clearly hates her job and doesn't belong here, or anywhere around animals for that matter.
