Everything was wonderful and great until they waited over 4 weeks to tells us we had to sign papers for my dad to get cremated. His services took place on 12/16-17/2020. I had asked one of the staff if we could sign everything on the last day of his viewing and they said it could be done when his ashes came back. Come to find out it had to be done before so that he could be cremated and they never reached out until my mom called to ask why it was taking so long. On top of that we told Mike that we believed we had over paid about a little $1000 for certain services considering that we only had a 2 day viewing, no hearse, or flower car, and we didn’t have any church service. The reason I say over pay is because a family friend had services done about 2 weeks after us and only paid about $4,900 mind you they had a 2 day viewing, a car for the flowers, a hearse, church services. At the end of it all we paid over $5,300 not including his plaque and box that the ashes would be put in. so when we finally came to pick up my dad’s ashes today 1/20/21 he tries to say that he gave us over $1,000 discount because he didn’t charge for cremation when over the phone I questioned a $1,700 charge and he said it was for cremation and paper work fees. I appreciate that they were available to take care of my dad and provide services but they should really let someone else handle processing for arrangements. Mike says one thing and then when questioned states another without any proof of the “discounts” he gave us. He also had the audacity of telling my mom we were trying to rip him off. Ripping him off would have been if we didn’t him when we paid cash up front. We we’re simply asking why it came out to be so much when someone else had more done and paid less.

This Funeral Home Honored all 3 of my family members that recently passed with so much dignity and respect. This Funeral Home should be the ONLY funeral home in Hereford. They dedicate every second of their lives to each family they serve. Thank you Donavan and Mike for you efforts you guys are the best Funeral Directors/Funeral Home/ Funeral Employees. I've had two of my relatives taken care of at Parkside Chapel, and I can say the people there are the nicest and most caring people you will ever meet. Cannot possibly say enough nice things about them.
