Salt Lake City Area Dignity Memorial® Funeral Providers

Following the extended process of transporting my Grandmothers ashes across the country, we held the memorial service and proceeded to what is a beautiful cemetery. Upon arrival we had a dedication of the ground and a prayer. This ended and while 95% of the group was still gathered, a six wheeler cart pulls up with two service station attired attendants. They proceed to uncover the hole, grab the urn and proceed to glue it to the small container that it’s to be buried in. The container was too short, there was no packing material, as promised, to surround the glass urn. The gathered family was in shock at what they were witnessing. The two attendees were confronted about the situation, which caused several phone calls to inquire about it. The funeral director stood helplessly in the distant shade doing nothing to ease or confront the scene. As family members of Grandma grew more antsy, they, on their own accord took a linen tablecloth from the flower table to properly secure the urn. Following the family solving the problem, the attendants lowered the container and filled the hole. They immediately proceeded to tamp the freshly moved earth with their feet. I was appalled. What was an entry to a beautiful place, ended with an exit from one of the most memorable experiences I have had. The memory will forever be tainted. Thanks dignity! Or is it Indignity???
