Sunkissed is awesome I order all my flowers from them. Never had any problem getting any bouquet... highly recommend sunkissed!
I am not big on negative reviews, so this was a big decision to post.nI stopped in Sunkissed for the first time on 3/11. I am a houseplant collector and have been living in Miami for about a year. I have recently decided to expand my collection and start focusing on exotics more. When it was confirmed that we would be receiving another round of stimulus checks, I started to get a little antsy about one of my wishlist plants. After searching unsuccessfully online for one that looked like a good fit, I finally got impatient enough that I decided to stop in to Sunkissed and see if I could come home with one that day.nLike I said I had never been in there before, and since the shop lady was tending to another customer I took a look around and stopped to pet the cat for a minute. I didn’t see anything except floral arrangements and a few basic houseplants, and by then the shop lady had finished her previous task and asked what I needed. Since I wasn’t seeing anything that looked like they would carry what I was looking for, I tried explaining what I was on there for. This is when the issues started. The biggest thing is that the lady I spoke too engaged with me like I was a piece of gum on her shoe (she wasn’t wearing a mask and we were standing right in front of each other, so I could see her expression clearly). Not a single iota of friendliness; in fact she seemed almost like she was suspicious of me. It was incredibly awkward, but I just tried to just be friendlier; I gave her the benefit of the doubt that perhaps she was merely ignorant of what I was asking about, rather than immediately jumping to the conclusion that she was being extremely rude. So, I decided to just cut to the chase and ask if they had the specific plant I was looking for, a Philodendron Pink Princess. This plant is, on average, a couple hundred dollars for a *small* one. I had hoped that perhaps this would clear the weird air that was currently developing. It did not. She said that she “didn’t know” if they had one or not, then continued to stand there frowning at me, making it very clear that she had no interest in finding out if they did in fact have one or not. The other shopkeeper who was making arrangements in the back, who overheard this exchange, didn’t make a motion or comment to the effect that I was in fact a customer who was there to buy something. In fact, it felt that *asking about the item I wanted to buy* made them even more suspicious of me. I ended up getting a recommendation from another customer of someone that I could contact for the plant I was looking for, because at that point the tension and rudeness was so think that I was desperately trying to figure out to say “I will buy this from someone else” without being rude (you know, like they were being to me).nI’ve reflected on this since that day, and in fact have actually purchased *two* PPP plants since I went in that day. I am leaving this review because I think other people who aren’t white should be wary of going in here, because if they don’t know you, they look at you like a criminal, even if you’re standing there with your wallet in hand, asking about the kind of item that most shopkeeps are desperate for someone to buy. I don’t want to have to say it, but I think these women only treated me like that because of the way I look, because I was about as friendly as I could be despite the fact that they were cold from the jump off.nIf you are a younger person such as an NEO student who is getting into houseplants, save your time and energy and just shop online (that’s where I ended up getting mine in the end anyway).
Created an incredible flower display for my wife.
I ordered a very large funeral spray and it turned out beautiful. Friendly customer service and they were honest about not having every single type of flower in stock but said they'd do their best to get it as close as possible and I think they did a great job of that!
Great place. Beautiful flowers and plants. Great people.
