Wiseman Mortuary staff was always courteous and professional. They provided excellent service. I would highly recommend this family owned business.

They have taken care of all my deaths over the years. Also great service and truly professional experience.

I wish that I could give this establishment a zero star rating. They made the experience of burying my father 4 years ago so much more excruciating than I could have imagined. They allowed my father's GIRLFRIEND to determine the outcome of his burial and funeral services. They didn't remain in communication with me, and when I finally realized what they were doing, they told me I would have to pay them $10,000 (in 24 hours!) in order to move my father's remains to Maryland. Terrible experience from a money driven family-owned business. It's sad that supposed Black Christians would treat each this way. Shameful.

Simply unprofessional and impossible to deal with. After all the lies about death certificates not received when in truth they actually prepare, lie after lie has left family members in limbo. It seems as though there no consideration given a family in grieve. I thank God we never have to deal with the likes of this company again.

Worst service ever. Here's why..nDuring COVID, they were in charge of our relative's body. Let me say this, the only reason I gave them 2 stars was because they had decent parking. Their communication to us was unprofessional, rude and lacking sympathy to a grieving family. I called Mrs Wiseman, left a message for her to call me back. One week later, no response. I felt she needs to know how we (more than 4 people) were approached and spoken to. Now when we proofed the obituary, I took it back to the young man. He about snatched it out of my hand because there were two typos. Almost like he couldn't believe it. In time's like this...honey, this should not have an apostrophe there. Next I ask about whether or not it would be in the local newspaper and if so which day. Point blank he told me. Ma'am I don't have anyway of knowing this, every person is different. So as I turn to walk out of the office I said to him, I'll look through one of the newspapers on the desk. Not to mention he's loud talking me to bring that red pen back. Now I'm turning to go back in there to talk to him about his tone. Here he comes to the desk, Ma'am I'm sorry...the family paid for one day, let me show you where it is located. I said to him, see thats all you had to do in the first place, look up the account. I said I'm going to show this to the mother of the deceased. Well, you've got to bring it back along with the red pen.nHow rude. I'd like to have shoved it in his face, but I am appalled at this tone. Yall can't stand around in the halls he yells twice from up the hallway while with another grieving family. Then the heavy set lady sitting in her chair arguing back and forth about the visitor sign in book. We were told to bring it with us to the funeral home. The mother did so. Now we want it back to return it to their home where others can sign in when they come visit. Now I hot tired of her and turned to the taller lady to just check to see if it is with the other book. She came to see and said, yes, it is here. Duh! We asked for a fee extra chairs. No one responded. We asked about other corrections and why the front page picture was switched. No response.nnIf you do use their services, have them put everything they say in writing. But I strongly do NOT recommend them until the CEO can make some changes to her staff. Family or not. This is unacceptable. Lastly, every funeral home will GIVE the family a few copies of the newspaper obituary, no questions asked. After all we PAID FOR IT.
