We love the entire team at this office. They are all so amazing & treat your fur-babies and your family with kindness.
This clinic is an example of what all animal clinics should be! I am a crazy dog mom and they treat me with respect; but most of all they understand my emotional dependence with my fur child . No questions I ask or the many appointments I make; give me any feeling that they treat me like I am over doing it or “unbalanced” . They love helping me and are very conversational!! I love this clinic and the amazing “ DR. FLATHERS”. She honestly gets me and try’s to help me not overreact. I am very blessed to have found a clinic I feel safe to take my fur child to! Thank you for all you do for me and my family fur kids!!
Let me first start by saying, I have been taking my fur babies to Dr. Falthers at AAH for nearly a decade and I have had nothing but stellar experiences here. I was in college at the time I discovered AAH and had no money. No one would see my Hazel unless I had the money upfront. I was distraught by the time I called. I spoke with Debbie that day and she suggested CareCredit. She even told me how to apply and had me do it while I was on the phone with her so I could let her know if I was approved or not. I was approved so she told me to bring Hazel in immediately. Other vets in our area accept CareCredit, but not one suggested it to me. Hazel was either bit or stung by something and her entire face was swollen. They gave her a treatment and she was better within the day. Everyone at the hospital was SO overly kind, sweet and caring. Every one on their staff has a kind warm personality and speak almost like you would expect an angel to, softly and with compassion. They truly care about their patients. Our Honey passed away in January after a potential diagnosis of cancer. We were not able to afford any further testing to confirm the diagnosis, although it really wasn’t that much. Dr. Flathers was so supportive of our decisions and checked up on us more than just the one time after the initial visit. She continued to check on us frequently throughout her illness. When she passed we called and left a message. They returned a call to us to let us know they received our message and gave their condolences. Later that week we received a very sweet card, signed by everyone in the office. AAH has never turned us away when we’ve called crazed after a scary and expensive night at the Emergency Vet Clinic or when something scary just happens like it does with fur babies. They have always been more than kind and helpful. Linda sets a tone in the office. She is the sweetest and kindest soul I have ever met. This hospital does everything with compassion. Everyone I have referred has said the same things. If we can’t afford something they do not make us feel bad for it, they always provide best case options and alternative options if we can’t afford the suggested option. I will never take my fur babies anywhere else. Cory, Astrid, Hazel and Olive love Dr. Flathers and the staff (and Honey did too). I’ve never seen animals EXCITED to go to the vet. If we say “Dr. Flathers” they get crazy excited! Thank you AAH for setting the bar so high! It’s no wonder you all are always busy!
Dr. Flathers is an amazing vet and so caring. Our little dog had a broken leg. It was hard finding someone to take a chance on her without major surgery which was very expensive. The good doctor took a chance on her and she has recovered with great results. So thankful for this wonderful woman and her amazing abilities. And to make things even better she called to check on our Willow several times to make sure she was doing okay. The staff were super sweet as well. Feeling so blessed and so very thankful!
Angel (of death) Animal HospitalnnWhen you're sitting at the Emergency Vet Hospital at 3 a.m. with your best friend of 11 years dying needlessly because of misdiagnosis and inappropriate meds, you realize how important it was to choose a competent, ethical, honest vet, one you and your pet can trust.nYour pet's life depends on it and he deserves better.nYou don't get a 2nd chance to make the right choice for him.nnThere are many great vets in Springfield who don't put making $$ ahead of your pet's welfare, who are honest and professional who won't lie to you to cover their tracks after the fact....Please don't take your precious pet to this place.nnI am so sorry, Buddy.nn12-11-20 Response:nnWhen you say I overdosed him with medications, I did give Buddy a whole pain pill rather than ½ on the very first day. I called the office immediately to tell Dr. Flathers and I offered to bring him in for evaluation. She said I should just skip the next dose and that I didn’t need to bring him in. She obviously wasn’t too concerned about it. ½ pain pill did not contribute to his death 6 days later. I’m sorry for your callous, unprofessional attempt to blame someone else for your incompetence. Only a guilty person concocts lies to cover his actions.nnI stand by the opinions of the two very competent vets who examined Buddy before he died. CHF! They both said Congestive Heart Failure. Your twisting the facts and misrepresenting events in an attempt to distort the truth doesn’t change reality and it shows your insensitive, unprofessional behavior.nnYou misdiagnosed his condition, you gave him inappropriate meds for something he didn’t have and you failed to treat him for what he did have. You wanted to set him up for your scam pseudo-science services of massage, acupuncture, moonbeam therapy, etc. Its all about money with you, not about caring for the pet and giving him the best care. I've talked to groomers, other customers, and vets and they all say, 'Oh, don't go there!' I only hope other pet owners avoid this fate.nnI tell Buddy every day, ‘I am so sorry for taking you to that horrible place.’ If I could only undo it he would be alive today.
