This animal hospital is filled with amazing people who care deeply about pets and their owners! We arrived on the Cape (for vacation) with a dying bearded dragon and these wonderful, educated and professional people saved her! (And no, we didn’t know she was dying!) Not only did they conduct thorough examinations of our beardie, but they discussed proper husbandry for our pet’s future! Although “Spike” is a lizard (not a dog or cat) they treated her as though she was the most important pet in the world. We were very emotional about maybe losing her and the staff were so compassionate. We cannot thank Dr. Blake, Summer, Nicole and the rest of the staff enough! We just wish they would build a satellite office in our state! What will we (and Spike) do without them? Thank you again!
Who brings a hamster to the vet? We did. He had some sort of infection on his leg and it looked painful. After calling multiple places Oceanside was able to help him. He got antibiotics and pain killers and is doing so much better. I would definitely go back. Will probably start bring my dog here now that we found them. The lady that answers the phone, Lisa, seems super caring and professional. Thanks Oceanside
I just want to thank everyone at Oceanside today. I woke up to a very sick Guinea pig and no one in my area (outer cape) could see him. They saw him as soon as I got him there. Unfortunately the prognosis was not good and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. Needless to say I was pretty emotional but the staff and vet were so great and made a horrible time slightly more bearable. They were incredibly generous during this hard time (pandemic) and I will be forever grateful.
If you have an anxious dog, this veterinary hospital is for you!nnThe last vet I took my dogs to was a VCA and it was unsettling how disorganized they were. So when my dog injured her paw, I was worried where to bring her. My dog has phobias when it comes to loud noises and unfamiliar places, so her anxiety was also a concern of mine.nRight away, when I called to inquire about appointments, Nicole was very friendly and kind. She addressed all of my concerns and I was able to bring Sophie in quickly. I wish I knew her name, but the vet tech that took Sophie in and out was so caring, and affectionate towards Sophie. She was very patient with her, and took the time to help Sophie unwind and relax. That meant the world to me. Once Sophie was inside, Dr.Jensen gave Sophie a thorough exam. She called me to discuss and we went over bloodwork from her previous vet, who did not even tell me Sophie had Lyme, discussed her paw injury and treatment options, and answered all of my questions and concerns in a very thoughtful and kind manner. I did not feel rushed whatsoever, and I really appreciate Dr.Jenssen's wealth of knowledge, care and concern for Sophie. I will be recommending OAH to my family, friends and clients. It is hard to find a veterinary practice who is this behavior savvy. I absolutely recommend bringing your dog here, especially if they struggle with anxiety. Sophie says thank you for all of the help, love and treats :-)nnThank you to the wonderful staff at OAH!
They were very professional, nice and accommodating when I called tonight 30min before they closed & let me bring my little bird in who just passed away. I called 3 other hospitals that were unprofessional when answering the phone and couldn't even answer my questions. One of these hospitals I have actually taken 2 of my pets to after recently moving here from Florida. & they couldn't help me AND wanted to charge me over $200 to cremate my parakeet. Wow. I think I will definitely be back with my other pets. Thank you for being so nice and accommodating.
